Hajime no Ippo and Kenichi are very similar, mostly by looking at the main characters. Makunouchi is a weakling, Kenichi is a weakling. However, they both train hard and become stronger in order to achieve their goals. Makounouchi wants to know what it means to be "strong", and Kenichi wants to become stronger to protect his friends from harm.
Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi is the same as Hajime no Ippo but the difference that Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi is about Martial Arts and not about Boxing as in Hajime no Ippo.
They both are about bullied boys with no friends who discover fighting by meeting someone who beats up the bullies and the boy (Ippo/Kenichi) decides to take on fighting. Then they shift between training and facing enemies of increasing difficulty until the get to the one on top. Although there are some unavoidable differences (ippo boxes and his enimes are in the pro boxing scene and kenichi uses many different martal arts and fights the dominant gang, Rangarock and the humor is different too), the two anime are pretty much the exactly the same and although I´m not into martial arts or boxing, they are both entertaining, motivating, interesting and worth watching all the many episodes
I found Ippo and Kenichi really similiar when speaking about personality, also both start as weakling underdogs but after tremendous training both kickass. If you liked main character development, you should check this one.
Though Kenichi is about martial arts and Ippo is about boxing, these anime's have very similar main characters. They both start out weak and slowly get stronger and stronger. What I loved about these shows was watching them train and then seeing the results of their training come out in the middle of their fights! They are both also very funny series', though Kenichi is a bit more lighthearted and has a little more romance thrown in.
Hajime no Ippo and History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi are very similiar. You can tell by looking at the pictures. Both Ippo and Kenichi are weaklings. They have been into fights and beaten but Ippo joins the Boxing Gym and Kenichi joins the Ryouzanpaku dojo so they can become stronger. They learn from their master and they both train hard to become strong so they can achieve their goals.
Both anime have a weak main character who strives to become stronger.
Similar leading characters that both train hard to become strong. Both get trained by masters at a gym, or in the case of kenichi at his Dojo.
Both have some good comedy moments, but more so kenichi.
Both shows are fun and the main characters are very similar both go from being weak to getting stronger.
Both animes are action packed combined with good humor. The story revolves around a character who used to be picked on, but gains confidence when training to become a better fighter. The difference is mainly between the style (boxing vs. martial arts) and the arena (boxing ring vs. street fights). If you like one of them, you WILL like the other one.
It's a lot like Ippo, but to me, it just seems a bit trite and full of fan service. Don't get me wrong, I have had a few lol's out of it (the voice acting makes Kenichi seem super frantic and twitchy, which I find humorous), but I wouldn't suggest it for older adults. It's a very teen oriented (is Shonen the right word???) series. Lots of training, fighting, and boobs.
There both about weaklings in high school who pick up a martial sport for multiple reasons and risew to the top of what ever there where trying to do.
Both are about developing fighting skills while staying humble
they were both weak from the start then with a little determination and sweat they've became strong .
Similar story about a boy who wants to get stronger. Lots of action and IMO a rare case where every significant character is actually interesting and likeable.
Similar characters. Both(ippo and kenichi) are weakling and they want to become stronger fir protect sonebody. The feeling is same.
i really like them also kenichi is a bit inspirated of hajime no ippo since the both where guys who where bullied

Both series seem to have a similar type of the main character: a good-natured boy who used to be a loser and then, through difficult training, he starts getting stronger and gets new friends on the way. In both animes the main character and his friends go through series of battles, increasingly more difficult, and their defeated rivals later become their allies and come to help.
The main characters, Tsuna and Kenichi, started out as losers before meeting up with their eventual masters, Reborn and the Ryozanpaku dojo respectively. Both consist of fairly comical aspects of the daily lives and training methods of both characters, as well as a action side other storyline. Very often, both cahracters will also try to impress their love targets, Kyoko and Miu, often with the help of their masters. Eventually, both mains also start getting their own followers in the form of the Vongola and Shinpaku, though it should be noted that neither are very fond of their roles as the leaders of their units.
IMO, KHR is much better though, in terms of likable characters and storyline.
Both have extreamly weak characters at the beggining of the show, but turn out to be badasses later on. Both have concept of being trained by "masters" who don't involve themselves much and are confident in the ability of their pupil. Both animes gather powerful allies to fight a gang/organization. Sub characters are also very enjoyable.
Hitman is very similar to Kenichi in the sense that there are "Masters" that dont get involved, and the character growth is similar as well. Also the surroundings are rather similar (Schools + area around the schools). On top of that, the character growth method is similar ~ Student gets trained by master, gets incredibly stronger each time.
Not much more to say that that but, You should definitely check out Hitman if you liked Kenichi, and vice versa.
Both Kenichi & hitman have similar feeling, School setting, master disciple relationships etc. Kenichi is eechier & focused more on martial arts <.<
-Both have the main character starting out as totally wimpy but throughout the series they get strong
-Enemies become friends
-Good Fights
-Both have the main character trained by more than one person, so a lot of masters
-Good humor for both of them too
It is both about the same because it's started off with weaklings, like no-good tsuna and kenichi. Then someone trained them and become very strong, undergo different type of trainings and experience some real-life fights and both of them are very kind at heart. They both liked a girl, and even though the characteristics of the girl is different but treated them about the same, in short, they are about the same and rocks~!!
Both feature two hero's that are hesitant to take their role and start off as cowardly but eventually build to become stronger characters.
Both feature a strong supporting cast of hero's and villains.
Both have very wise, humorous, and powerful teachers.
The protagonist must fight there way through each challenger.
Hitman features gang vs gang
Kenichi features martial arts group vs martial arts group
Both stories have an incredibly weak main character that becomes stronger throughout the story. Both characters have no friends and make them as they go. Both characters get stronger for the sake of their friends, and they have similar messages about doing what's right for the sake of others. Both have a lot of really good comedy and are a bit over the top at times.
Both are also adapted from manga series and only cover part, so I recommend reading both manga because the manga are actually a little better than the anime.
takes whinny boys, and turn them into heroes
have crazy teacher(s)
makes you want to root for the main charracter
Tsuna and Kenchi were weak at first but gradually they get stonger through their training and tutors.

matrial arts and big boobs
Same type of story. Main character is a weakling that joins a school that has fighting clubs and gangs that like to test out the new freshmen to see how strong they are. Main character gets picked on and joins a dojo to get stronger. He ends up getting hunted down by the local gang and has to protect him self. Full of comedy just like Tenjou Tenge.
Quite similar. Cool fighting.Good looking babes.
Both shows are about training and getting stronger.
Kenichi is a weakling and bullied by everyone, so he wants to become stronger.
In Tenjou Tenge is quite different: Souichiro and Bob are delinquents who controlled 100 school. However, they are accepted by a school where most of the students are martial artists who could easily beat Souichiro and Bob, so they start training...
They both are about fighting and the hardwork goes into becoming a master. they both have amazing fighting sceans and sort of the same type of humor.
Similar storyline: Guy meets a beautiful girl with deadly martial arts skills, and trains with them to become stronger. One difference between the two animes is that Tenjou Tenge is more serious and violent. Not as funny as History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi too...
Tenjou Tenge - Soichiro nagi is a dedelinquent who wants to rule his school.
Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi - While Kenichi Shirahama is a boy who has been picked on his whole life (so they're image are kinda opposite)
1. They are both about martial arts
2. Both main characters start off as kind of as weak, comparing them to the other martial artists
3. Both main characters meet a mysterious girl

Same type of "leveling-up" occurs for the characters. Kenichi and Naruto are definitely similar in that there's martial arts, and both main characters start off basically sucking. Kenichi is much shorter though, so you'll be able to enjoy a feature filled show without all the fillers.
Both have a main-character who wants to become the strongest of all by defeating their enemies. Thanks to their friends they will come very far...
And if you want to laugh, this a good one too!
Both anime about to becoming strong and fighting.
Both fight for the justice and friendship, has the same anger type. They always be the strongest when someone close to them is in danger :)
Imo Naruto and Kenichi are very alike. They both strife to get stronger while using martial arts. They both have top level, weird, funny masters. Also the humor in both shows are very alike.
If you liked the comedy in Kenichi than Naruto should be the next thing to watch and vice versa.
Action, Comedy, Funny characters.

Similar comedy action. Both focus on nakama and friendship. Kenichi has more fan service though.
both of the main characters fight for what they believe in getting stronger along the way. both endings are quite good unlike some endings like over drive etc.
Both shows have great character development. They both have a lot of action and a protagonist with a will to get stronger. Both protagonists have to overcome many obsacles to reach their goals.
the main character in Law of euki and hds kenichi is very similar. They fight for their friends and justice. Both series are great, funny and exciting.
Both series are considered battle shounen that offers plenty of fighting among characters. The main character in both series has similar personalities and often strive to reach new heights through experience in combat against other characters from the show.
Both series involves some inhuman techniques that are displayed during the various encounters between the main character against his adversaries.
Both series has plenty of action, drama, and comedy. In general, they have a similar vibe and feelings.

Both anime are centered on the same type of main character. They both follow the rise of completely unassuming characters from being cowardly and non athletic, to strong leads. Both are very good at showing the mental trials that one goes through while they develop while keeping it light and humorous. It would be very easy to say that if you liked one of these two, you will definitely like the other.
They have the same character of a demon looking guy?! and the main guy who always been bullied becomes an important member of sports in both anime respectively?! check them both out?! both are really good :P
Althought the driving theme changes from martial Arts to American Football, the main characters traits and entire journey are almost identical! No really, watch one episode its astounding how similar the two shows are
both the main characters start out weak and gets stronger throughout the main story , and both have friends who are like demons lead the group thier in
Both protagonists show a weak personality and become stronger. The weak traits of the characters stay the same throughout both series. Both Sena and Kenichi work hard and aim to become the best. The development of the story is almost the same. 'After defeating the enemy, a stronger enemy appears.' There is an absolute resemblence in the characters Hiruma and Nizuma Eiji. Both series have comedy and action.

Although the two series do not have the same theme, the type of humour are very very similar (nearly identical). On top of that, the facial expressions Kenichi makes are very reminiscent of Nagasumi's. Also, Seto San does have many common point with Miu, as both have very strange mood swings and personalities. Kenichi's masters are very similar to the Seto family too.
Can't quite put my finger on it, but these 2 anime gave the same feel. It is possible Nagasumi gives me the same impression that Kenichi gives. At the same time, San's father and Sakaki of Kenichi gives the same violent vibe (down to the scars on their faces). Humor is often targeted at the unease of either main characters. Personally I think both are overrated anime too.
Seto no Hanayome has a very similar kind of humor, while being a little more extreme and on a faster pace.
The overall theme of a boy who just wants a simple live with his love interest and the complications of his masters/relatives who don't know where to stop is present at both animes.
Although the stories might be stereotypical, they are executed very well and hilarious. It's hard to find funnier animes.
Both have loads of slapstick humor, as well as lots of action scenes.

Both Have 3 Things In Common
1. Martial Arts
2. Romace
3. LOTS OF COMEDY
These 3 Things Play A Huge Part in Both Shows
Both shows involve a guy and his romantic interest practicing martial arts, but also involve lots comedy, especially of the slapstick variety. Lots and lots of slapstick.
They have comedy and romance with martial arts. If you like kenichi you will like ranma and viceversa
Both have a Main Character who is pretty much clueless about what they get themselves into, and both Main Characters start out weak but slowly become more powerful with each new challenge they face. Each series has a large cast of lovable and not so lovable characters that are the true driving force of each story. Although both are Shounen animes, Air Gear contains more mature content(Nudity,Language,Blood etc.) then Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi does, However, this does not take away from the fact that both series always find a way to keep things intresting and exciting. I recommend both series to any fan of Shounen animes
Do you like martial arts moves? Then this series is fit for you. Although the main characters are worlds apart, the fights are intence and the humor in them is great. Enjoy it like I enjoyed it!
Same director. Both are Great and Fun to watch.

has similar surrounding the stories :P
it' also about gangs and there are fights in them, when i was watching history strongest disciple it reminds me of beelzebub
I don't think Beelzebub is worth watching if you liked Kenichi but if you liked Beelzebub you will definitely like Kenichi. They are very similar: humor, school, gangs, fights, training etc. No exploding clothes, ecchi or anything unnecessary like in some other animes that have similar settings.

Week Kid want's to protect those around him. Ends up getting in tons of Epic Battles and becomes the Hero. They do differ in substantial ways but in the End you get the same enjoyment.
Sound to Simple? Well I gave up trying to explain the Awesomeness of these Shows. Just go watch Both of them. You WILL NOT be Disappointed!
This is story of a young man who uses his will to win and protect the ones he loves to become stronger and overcome his foes despite the overwhelming odds.
Both shows are just plain-old funny, and use a lot of slapstick humor in a school setting.
These both take place at school thy both include fights with "gangs"and"karate clubs",they both hav a pervy humor at times and they both are funny. The charactors out side of school also go through some simmilar situations..........
both main characters are trying to get strong. tons of fighting. same kinda arc-ish.
These are both Martial Arts anime, where Kenichi just wishes to get strong enough to protect the people he loves, and Baki wants to defeat his dad and become the strongest being on earth. However, they are very similar in the concept of following the main character win fights and get stronger as the series progresses. The art and character design of these series are quite different though, and may take some getting used to, but they're both very much worth it. Also Baki has more blood and just overall violence where Kenichi focusses more on the Martial Arts itself. Baki the Grappler also has a sequel after which the series end, but Kenichi is still ongoing as a manga series.

The raw fighting style and pure all-out battle have a very similar feel. Even the character designs and animation seem similar to each other. Both are excellent fighting animes with a touch of comedy.
If you like fighting then I think these two are very similar...
Somehow both the martial arts and humour makes me connect these two animes together. I think anyone who liked one of these would like the other.
They both have a male main character who fights to protect someone and i think the humor is somewhat similar.
A lot of people may think why would I relate these two anime, but they both do have a lot in common. If you're looking for a great comedy, epic fights and simply an entertaining time where you'll always be wanting for the next episode, if you've seen one of these, the other is a must definite. Both shows pack in so many hilarious moments in between their emotional and epic plotlines.
To this is a super inspiring anime, if I so much as think about Luffy and his epic-ness then I can become motivated enough to do anything!

Kenichi is like Yu Yu Hakusho, but replaces demons with street fighters. They're both worth watching.
They are both a series based on fighting. While in Kenichi he starts off weak and helpless, in Yuu Yuu hakusho, he starts off as a delinquent. However, theya re both relatively weak. In Yuu Yuu Hakusho, instead of fighting delinquents and other steet people, Yu Yu is a 'spirit detective' which essentially means he fights demons and such. In both shows they strive to get stronger and stronger. There is also a fair amount of comedy intertwined into both shows.
Both are very hilarious and revolves around a funny male character
The comedy in both of these is just absolutely crazy, so if you like the slapstick in one, you'll like the other.
Martial artists testing and developing their skills in street fights. Both series also deal with the virtuous and the destructive ways of martial arts. And, like Street Fighter, Kenichi also has a fighting game developed by Capcom.

Great slapstick and joke driven comedies that involve fighting and high school, and both of them like to go into super-deformed mode to convey added hilarity.
Both Kenichi and Loki Ragnarok have Norse mythology and a girl that although is always trying to help( and most of the time they do help) but can kind of act ditzy. Though they both have fighting, Kenichi has more actual fighting while Loki ragnarok has fantasy. both are still prety good
In both shounen series, martial arts is a major theme that plays a dominant role in nearly episode. The main protagonist gets involved with oth
er characters in the fields of martial arts.
In both series, the main heroine is strong and relies on her martial arts skills to get by.
Both series also contain comedy presented in humorous ways that also contain bits of drama later on as the episodes progresses.

STRAIGHT UP MOST EPIC FIGHTING SCENES KENICHI IS A WEEK AS KID THAT GETS TRAIND BY MULTIPLE MARTIAL ARTIST MASTER ALONFG THE WAY H GES STRONGER THRU rediculous training in the end he gets bad ass ..... they are both fight anime
they are all about fighting just that kenichi has up to date graphics with some ecchi alot of laughs. the figting scens further down the line are just epic no fuck
Both shows have martial arts, hot-blooded characters, and epic battles.
Both are about fighting, glory, and pride
the main character, started of weak, then progressed to be stronger and stronger.
the shows arent perverted but they do have some situations...
the mains also had a situation where they could choose the easy way or the noble way and obvious chose noble, like most fighting shows
Well i have to say that both bleach and kenichi start off with a boy going from weak to strong, and it has a lot of fiction in it like bleach. It's a kick ass anime too. Both stories of bleach and kenichi start off kind of similar. So I would recommend this to anyone who likes bleach.
Its not but if u like kenshin u will most likely like this anime. PS OVA Kenshin is good also.
They both about fighting, main characters trying to become great fighters and slap stick humor.
both the main male character seems to be week at first but he is strongest of all.
Both shows are pretty humorously crafted shows where people engage in some sort of martial arts against each other, and you're sure to like both.
With superior characters, animation, music, voice acting and plot points, Natsuki Crisis is like a better version of Kenichi, another pseudo-realistic high school battle series.
Martial arts, both animes a must to watch for anyone that likes martial arts, or a hand to hand fighting style.
it is mostly fighting through out both of these animes the characters are similar they get stronger along the way,but the ending is kind of a let down but i still recommend flame of recca
Both involve the fighting and becoming of the main character as a central element, and also good character development, although Kenichi is slower and longer and more drawn out, if you like this kind of anime, then Kenichi will surely please you.
Both involves serious martial arts mixed with lighthearted comedy. While Asu no Yoichi is more harem oriented, Kenichi is much more martial art oriented.
Both are real funny and share similar characters.
Both shows have hilarious comedy in between action. Both shows feature a bit of a romance. The only thing FMP has more of is Drama. Kenichi has more comedy and ecchi moments than FMP.
Also the male VA for Sagara Souske does the voice of Shirahama Kenichi.
Both shows are really lots of fun, so check them out!
Hero tales seems to be pretty unique in its portrayal of martial arts so the closest i could find was kenichi. the only differences would be the ecchi side and the fact that kenichi has no actual fantasy side to it.
Both are about young guys striving to get strong enough to protect the ones they love. Kenichi is a little less well animated but on the plus side has a lot more romance, awesome martial arts teachers and comedy.
So if you like training, martial arts and epic fights you may just cream your pants.
both weaklings main characters that because a girl they want to be strong and face many dangers to make it
they both are misunderstanded in school
one reads books the other makes cakes
A wimpy guy gets his arse handed to him by the new girl (in Nozomi, the heroine moves in next door, as well as starting at the same school) and he promptly falls in love/lust with her. Then, for love/boobs, the wimpy guy decides to train in order become strong and, sometime along the way, get together with the girl of his dreams.
^ That's the basic premise both series are built on.
The two combine moments of comedy with fighting throughout and both are sure to be enjoyed immensely by someone who liked one of the two.
These series are similllar because:
*The drawing ofcourse similar
*The main character Kenichi and Yuji over series are getting stronger and stronger
*From really weak persons they are getting unbelievable strong
*Both girls who are teaching them to fight are realy strong, nice and kind of in love with the main character
Shakugan is more serious and has the mystical-supernatural part and Kenichi has the feeling of many different martials arts combined together it is realy nice.
both main char's start out being nothing in the world, but because of a girl they change thier lives for the better! if you liked one you will like the other!
"History's Strongest Disciple Kenich"i isn't with vampires, but the style of the story is the same. They're both in the same style of comedy, there is a boy who doesn't know anything about a topic but anyway has to lern fighting against enemies. The girl, who he loves, is very good at fighting and always helps him if he get attacked. Anyway, the parents don't know about that exactly and the boy has to stay in the doyo.
It's a very funny story and ends up the same way.
Both feature realistic martial arts/swordplay for the fight scenes and both also use alot of comedy to lighten the mood. The only difference is that Gintama is more comedic while Kenichi focuses more on the fighting aspect.
Both about mastering in martial arts
Same style..." I want to protect everyone"
