Same type of story. Main character is a weakling that joins a school that has fighting clubs and gangs that like to test out the new freshmen to see how strong they are. Main character gets picked on and joins a dojo to get stronger. He ends up getting hunted down by the local gang and has to protect him self. Full of comedy just like Tenjou Tenge.

Both shows are about training and getting stronger.
Kenichi is a weakling and bullied by everyone, so he wants to become stronger.
In Tenjou Tenge is quite different: Souichiro and Bob are delinquents who controlled 100 school. However, they are accepted by a school where most of the students are martial artists who could easily beat Souichiro and Bob, so they start training...
They both are about fighting and the hardwork goes into becoming a master. they both have amazing fighting sceans and sort of the same type of humor.
Similar storyline: Guy meets a beautiful girl with deadly martial arts skills, and trains with them to become stronger. One difference between the two animes is that Tenjou Tenge is more serious and violent. Not as funny as History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi too...
Tenjou Tenge - Soichiro nagi is a dedelinquent who wants to rule his school.
Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi - While Kenichi Shirahama is a boy who has been picked on his whole life (so they're image are kinda opposite)
1. They are both about martial arts
2. Both main characters start off as kind of as weak, comparing them to the other martial artists
3. Both main characters meet a mysterious girl

Its based on martial arts alot of action and amazing fights . Both character get a huge development and both become great fighters. Both are good recomendations for the Martial Art Genre and defenetly one of the bests.
