SynopsisNEVER make a deal with a wet goddess you've only just met. That's a lesson Ryosuke Kaga learns the hard way when he foolishly agrees to let Lisara Restole use some of his "essence" to stay in this world. Because despite her smoking hot appearance, Lisara's actually a Shinigami, a Goddess of Death. However, she DOESN'T steal years off his life like any decent Shinigami would do. Oh no, instead she sucks him dry of something much more perverse by leeching off his lecherous spirit and draining his ability to enjoy... er... the things that teenage boys normally spend most of their time thinking about! And now that he's been de-debased and de-debauched by her un-dirty trick, the poor regenerated degenerate's only hope of getting his licentiousness renewed is to join the queen of mental-clean on her quest, since when she leaves our mortal plane he regains his normal immorality! But the termination of the probation of his reprobation isn't guaranteed, because Goddesses of Death can be really harsh mistresses and it's going to be anything but easy to go back to being sleazy!

Summary: Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. Recap
Characters & Voice Actors
"Dakara Boku Wa" Starts off with this strange perverted Open minded boy walking around with his childhood friend. He is very known at his school for being a pervert, and many dislike him.
Basically They waste your time with Pointless half Hentai Crap for the first 6 episodes. Episode 1, you get the real point of the show and the direction it should be heading into. Then you hit episode 2, and you have a Pervert who has this strange ability to regain his power through getting aroused.
On top of that through the rest of 3-6 they keep throwing Hentai-Like events at you, and slowly introducing characters, something i felt they could have easily done and gotten over with in 2 episodes, and made the show 3x better.
If you manage to get through the first 6 episodes of crap. your actually in for a treat, this show turns into gold. The plot rapidly increases with nothing but positive enjoyment.
The story was Fair(6) It was poorly put together, but in the end quite satisfying and enjoyable.
The Art was Very Good(8) Certainly not at a point where it could make you hate the show because of it being bad. The character design looked great.
The Sounds was Decent(4) It made no difference towards helping the show look better, They just play this weird crap whenever the Hentai-like moments come on.
The Characters were very good(8) they were very lovable, and created a suspenseful chose-like harem.
The enjoyment was Good(7) the casual villains were stupid and always had that Hentai type attack form, where they are like octopus's, with tentacles...you know what i mean, its just stupid.
Overall i rated this show a 6, and i find that to be a fair rating, if it was sectioned off into 2 sections, 1-6, and 7-12. I would have given the first section a 3, and the second section a 9.5
So if you can sit through the first half, you should notice the quality increase in the second half.
If you're watching the show for the Highschool DxD like presence, or just the Hardcore Ecchi, the entire thing provides that greatly, and this is exactly what your here for.
FEEDBACK: I would definitely appreciate feedback; it would help me to become a better writer. read more
Boku-H is a perfect example of what ecchi harem shows are about, and in this review, I am here to explain why our standards of appreciation must be adjusted to account for what actually makes these types of shows enjoyable.
By the normal standards of grading entertainment, we usually define quality entertainment as intelligent in some way. Intelligent design for entertainment usually is produced through a well-thought out story and an interesting cast that has thought provoking development. Naturally, it is very easy to dismiss Boku-H as being a mediocre show when it does in fact have an uninspired story that feels rushed and confusing at its worst moments. Nobody is surprised by the usual boy meets fantasy girl who gets boy into sexy action packed adventures. I will be the first person to admit that the story is nothing special by any means.
The other point of appreciation for most entertainment also includes its physical quality, or essentially its sound and art. Boku-H again would be easily considered unremarkable for the most part in this area. The soundtrack, while not awful, is relatively shallow and repetitive. The animations are also not the most smooth, and heavily reliant on CG to fill in the gaps. This can be forgiven however given the nature of this particular show is ecchi. While the rest of the show looks unremarkable, the show does its job of providing appealing scenes featuring its female cast nude in various situations. If you are looking for an erotic anime, the nude scenes overall do not disappoint.
So far, it sounds like I'm saying that this show is overall a mediocre lump of fanservice. Well, you would almost be right. Because the thing I haven't yet explained is the REAL reason you should be watching this show. If not story and art quality, what have I not yet covered? Characters.
Yes, characters are the reason you should be watching these types of shows. Specifically, I highly recommend paying attention to Ryosuke Kaga. What usually defines ecchi harem shows are the main male character, because if we think for a moment logically, these shows very literally are centered around the adventures of our beloved main character. What I am basically trying to say is that above all, the single most important thing that makes or breaks an ecchi harem (or a hentai for that matter) is almost always the main male character. If he is likable and the artwork is passable, almost nothing else matters. A strong main character for these shows is the catalyst for viewers being able to relate to the humor and adventures created in these types of shows. And I will go so far to say that Ryosuke from Boku-H is easily one of the best main characters that exists for a show of this type.
Ryosuke has many qualities that should be used more in these types of shows, but aren't for some reason. He's openly perverted, does not come off as creepy when his childhood friend inherently acknowledges him as kind and trustworthy, is never afraid to say exactly what is on his mind, and he has the guts to say "size doesn't matter" to his relatively flat-chested love interest Lisara. In short, he's hilariously manly to an extreme. He is hammy at times, but ultimately comes off very likable due to his honesty and kindness. And best of all, he is voiced by Shimono Hiro, who once again succeeds at depicting manly hormonal teenage high school boys. Some of the dialogue that Ryosuke dares to say is extremely humorous, both in his shamelessness and the euphemisms he uses (get used to hearing the word "kingdom" for a while. You'll know soon enough what it means if you don't know already).
You might wonder why I haven't said anything about the female cast. It's because they don't matter. Yes I could argue that the female cast is objectively flawed, not particularly interesting, and just uninspired. On the other hand, it could be potentially because this female cast is flawed and so blatantly represents certain stereotypes and tropes that Ryosuke can so easily express his true manliness in the most hilarious way possible. Again, the actual source of entertainment from this genre of show originates almost exclusively from the main character. This is neither a good or bad thing, it just simply needs to be factored appropriately when one picks up these types of shows.
In general, when we pursue to immerse ourselves in entertainment, there are standards of quality that we use as a means of finding appreciation. I personally find it very strange that many people seem to believe that ecchi harems as a whole are somehow not legitimate entertainment when Japan still consistently is able to find a market for it. Naturally, if you choose to approach this show with the expectation of finding attachment to an intelligent storyline, you are obviously going to be disappointed. However, when I compare this show to what other ecchi harems generally offer, I believe that this show definitely stands out as one of the better ones by faithfully providing sexy humor and adventures to laugh at. It is by relating to the main character that we can appreciate the madness that is pretty faces catered to a sexual orientation. Boku-H does not disappoint here, providing what may be one of the best male protagonists in existence. read more
-Main normal guy which loves erotic things and has the special powers.
-Main girl is from underworld demon.
-No censorship on the chest and pants.
Red Hair Girl
Perverse lad meets a beautiful redhair, and thus ends up in various shenanigans with monsters and higher beings from another world, both series emphasizes heavily on fanservice.
They're both about demons and have a lot fanservice, as well as no censorship and a main female lead with red hair and perverted, but caring male protagonists, though Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. is way better than Highschool DxD in every aspect.
same perverted guy who becomes a property of some dark entity, the only diffence is that the guy in the other anime is treated like a their kind while in the other the guy is treated like a dog.
they have very similar art and story.
Perverted protagonist and a girl, who's protecting him.
Main male characters (which look normal, though huge perverts) in both series are seemingly weak at first, but actually possess some special abilities. Main female characters are some sort of demons, and have a lot of authority throughout the series.
I Can't Do H and Highschool DxD are both ecchi and the protagonists fight to protect someone they love. Both anime involves magic and fighting a non-human.
Both have some kind of demon heroin, both heroines have red hair, both have some sort of "contract", and both have them H.
Both have the perverted main male character also both Main male characters are bound to a main female character
Well, in both series, we have the typical high school boy with perverted thoughts. He meets a heroine that has a rather similar appearance but with a mysterious background and forms a "contract" with her.
There is quite a lot of ecchi, comedy, drama, and action in both series. Both anime also contain gag and generics. Just be aware of those if you decide to watch their series from the beginning.
Both are supernatural and have their comedy and ecchi moments. The male main character is also pervert like Issei (even more perverted than he) and the female main character is also similar with Rias.
Similar in the comedy aspect and it's all good ecchi fun. It's also got a battle anime type story going on, they're made for each other.
An pervert boy and a beaultiful red-haired girl... It seems a very similar story
It's pretty like this..... a woman barge onto his life and change everything.. well same level of epicness and ecchiness.... too bad both anime is epic but the ecchiness ruins it but it's still great :)) both is a masterpiece
similar everything literally....
•both have a pervert main protagonist young boy who all he can think is erotic shit
•both have another demon like supernatural red headed woman that uses some supernatural power contract so they are always together
•both have fan service and uncensored,
•both are set placed in a school, which involved fighting with monsters/humans/some supernatural things..
•both contain some comedy if visible, ecchiness to the extreme, school, romance.
•and both i dropped half way through or earlier.
Similar magic harem ecchi shows that feature more "oppai action" than what kids are comfortable with. Nevertheless, these are a notch above the generic harem shows, with a plot that is moving forward and fantastic character designs and animation.
-Both show boobies but i would say Dakara does it more professional and real
-Both MC's are perverts
-Both somewhat die and have a relationship with the heroin
-Both take place in school
ITs about devils and people with special powers. Also they both have some ecchi scenes.
Ecchi, Oppai and a story that you can easy follow
Both the heroines of these series may not be similar in personalities, Rias is the caring type, Lisara is the "tsundere" type, but both are extremely sexy girls from the underworld. Each of them will have to deal with perversion of the main protagonist as more girls will join the group on their adventure through the series.
Perverted male protagonist + a group of girls, isnt that a perfect combination?
• Both female leads are red head.
• Both female leads are from the underworld realm.
• Both guy loves erotic things.
Both Female Main Protagonist have red hair and demonic power
Both Male Main Protagonist are pervert and have special power
And both are Losers !
In both of these anime there's one main guy character who uses his hornyness as his power. There are also a bunch of girls, and the main character gains power through one of these girls to defeat evil.
Both Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai and High School DxD got a male main character who is extremely perverted and gets power by ecchi stuff and the female main characters in both animes are demons and from the Grimoire clan. They both share a lot of stuff and at first impression they are almost identical but the story is different at the end.
In both anime, the main character is a pervert. High School DxD is about demons, while Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. is about shinigamis, but both have similar art and ambiance.
Contains Ecchi and extremely Pervert main male. Both anime focuses on magic and special/choosen one(which of course the male prota)
Fap-able and both ended only by 1 arc(12eps)
The opening song is Trance-techno for both anime
it's just like twins anime with different maker....
Both Female Main Protagonist have red hair and demonic power
Both Male Main Protagonist are pervert and have special power
Similarity is quite big in HS DxD and Dakara Boku. The main protagonist is a regular high school boy with a hiden super power/ wepon. A magic demon girl appears who is a royal member of the underworld and somehow they 2 end together. Ecchi is strong in both but Dakara wins with more nudity.
Both are the same type of genres. Highschool dxd has a more interesting and exciting plot though
These two anime are very similar. They mix ecchi with harem and romance. They both involve demons with earth. The main guys special powers are very you could say . . . ecchi. Finally, they focus more on the battle's, but when the ecchi comes you will see some big breasts :D.
I will say only one thing... tits, tits everywhere. Ok, now lets get serious, DXD and Dakara Boku wa are similar in a lot of ways, main character is servent of a redhead demon/shinigami chick, and he is a pervert ofc. I thing DXD is better, because Dakara Boku wa gets interesting after 6th episode, but most important thing is... TITS, HOLY MOTHER OF TITS, tits everywhere ;)
both have the fan service that people watch the anime for.
both have action involved
The main lead character wants to protect the main female with all hes got. While In High School DXD the main protagnist is open about his felling for boobs , and such, the male lead in Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai is not so open.
Both characters have some sort of hidden power that makes them a lot more valuable.
DxD can be taken as a semi-harem the others is more of a....
Very similar in almost every aspect! If you liked Dakara boku wa, then you will definetly like High School DxD! good fighting scenes, good ecchi, good comedy! give it a try it won't dissapoint.
both anime are ecchi, red haired, demons.
Both are echhi anime
No censorship on the chest
Both guy love erotic things and has the SuperNatural Powers
Both girls has the same color of the hair
In both, the main character gets his powers from sexual thoughts and is surrounded by girls with special powers. Issei is a bit more badass with his powers, but is much more indecisive than Ryosuke. The lead female in each harem also have long red hair and are of royal blood.
- a beautiful red head demon who is also an heiress
- a perverted loser who happens to have a rare sacred weapon
- lots of fighting and nudity involved
-they both set place in high school
-the male mc in both are perverted
-the female mc in both are red-headed
-they are both about demons
You've probably already seen Highschoo DxD, if you've seen Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai, but if not, you definetly should. Highschool DxD is similar to Dakara- in many ways, just the characters for example, Kaga and Issei are both perverted highschool boys, with a similar love for oppai and women in general. Lisara and Rias are also both mysterias and simple at the same time.
Overall, these two are practically hatched from the same shell.
A perverted male protagonist with a female protagonist with supernatural abilities, also surrounded by female characters with abilities as well. Fight scenes. Fanservice... rest is history :)
Want a lighhearted comedy with an "ecchi" male lead. This show is for you then.
Instead of the usual bland and generic male protagonists we get super horny ones with a harem of super powered girls.
Both are really good comedy anime with a pervy main character
sora no otoshimono and dakara boku both are great animes with a girl who appears and the main guy is forced into helping them through their kindness and end up living with said girl. both have a girl who has loved them since childhood and are competing with the new girl, which makes it quite interesting. overall both series are ecchi and have quite a bit of fanservice but for the most part they really make you laugh and enjoy it more than anything else. dakara boku has a more streamlined plot that progresses in a linear fashion, sora no otoshimono takes some side paths with random episodes. however sora no otoshimono still maintains a great storyline that becomes really involving. of course the main characters are super perverted as well, some may call them tragic flaws but they make the anime better because the characters arent embarrassed to look at the female like so many other animes's protagonists are. plus the scenes often offer comedic relief from super serious moments of the plot. me personally i loved both series and wish there was a second season to dakara boku, but i think it did exeptional with one season. sora no otoshimono is also a great series and it has a second season which makes it a little more attractive. but if you enjoyed the whole magical girl comes into boring guys life and changes him for the better with some zesty romances in between, then you should try out sora no otoshimono
