SynopsisHiro has two loves: baseball and porn, but due to an elbow injury, gives up baseball, choosing a school with no baseball team. His childhood friend Hikari attends a different school with baseball ace Hideo. The two of them wish that Hiro had not given up baseball. Hiro joins the soccer team and meets Haruka, a very clumsy girl who is also the daughter of his father's boss. Haruka is the manager of the unofficial baseball club at Hiro's school. When the soccer team challenges the baseball club to a game, with hopes of humiliating them, the baseball club nearly loses until Hiro, disgusted by the soccer team's arrogance, switches to the baseball club.

i actually enjoyed this very much.
facts, developments, thoughts, emotions are brought to the audience in a very unique way. mainly through the dialogues the viewer could grasp quite a rich world around this baseball boys and their girls. these dialogues are far from being mainstreamed. open, doubting, unclear - freely, the protagonists are communicating. together with the excellent use of some other rather complex literary methods, like leaving the important unsaid, using details to unfold the complete a.o.; and the clever split of the medias to create wrong predictions or also intend contradictions between the heard and the shown, the told and the thought; this show could entertain on a very fine level at all. often was served a nice sense of humour even using smartly still the silliest stereotypes.
the way how its told opens the possibility to enrich it in your own way. unfortunately to open such possibilities is not a guaranty and the loss of decidedness and clearness may discomfort the laisy-minded.
clear recommendation!!

Well first off I did not feel this deserved an 8, but neither a 7. I felt it was more of a 7.5 was good but had to round up.
The story was a pretty good idea I feel. Most sports anime don't have enough romance in there, but I felt this one went a little overboard. They focused to much on the romance and not enough on the baseball which was a disappointing and a little weird. Also the ending was horrible. They needed to carry it on a bit in my opinion because it felt like it was just cut off and finished with no sense of closing. read more

Both series are the work of the brilliant Adachi, Mitsuru. Both shows revolve around high school baseball and involve both elements of romance and sports. The characters and their relationships also have a similar feel.....
Both made by same authors and about baseball. Characters hide their real powers at first. Building a team from a scratch. Some characters are very much alike. If you liked Cross Game you should definitely give H2 a try as well, despite it being older version, it is easy to get it used to.
They are both by the sama mangaka artist so both were animated by same studio, they are both about baseball set in high school with the pitcher falling in love with a female friend who encourages them throughout though in Cross Game, the pitcher falls in love with his dead girlfriend's sister, his rival.
These 2 anime series are way too similar
They both have the same art style and kinda have to start the team from scratch
The only difference is the Character's reason for playing and H2 kinda focuses on the romance part instead of the playing baseball

Both are great pieces of work from Adachi, Mitsuru. Though Touch is better just because it is longer and the plot has plenty more time to develop. H2 has the same vibe as Touch and the "main" girl look alike. If you just got done with Touch watch H2 you won't be disappointed.
Both of them are by Mitsuru Adachi, and both are baseball anime shows with romance on the side. In my opinion Touch is better, but if you liked one you'll defenitely like the other. Each has similar sort of twists and turns, and similar situations with the characters, even though the stories are very different.
Both are the works of Adachi Mitsuru. Both series revolve around High School baseball and the dreams of reaching Koushien stadium which hosts the national high school baseball tournaments in Japan. The characters have a very similar feel and there are plenty of rich romantic and non-romantic relationships between the characters in both series. The art and animation styles, the voice acting, and the music and sounds are also quite similar in these series.
