As you said, Cross Game was perfect and since they were done by the same author I thought I would also enjoy Touch, but there were too many filler, flashback and recap episodes in Touch, I barely kept myself from skipping them which is something I never do actually. Reading your review quite convinced me to skip anime H2. :D I guess later I will give a try for its manga, looks like it's finished.
