No good loser who diverts the comunity by the percieved level of his likeableness gets iseka'd, surrounded by mostly girl cast, but also has to survive some life-threatening effect as his transportation into other world is linked to the concept of death in some way.

Main protagonist dies and reincarnates into a fantasy world with swords and magic with his previous life's memory intact. Protagonist is trying to navigate the new world based on their previous experiences. Lots of ecchi-comedy moments and has huge character development for the protagonist since after all in Tensei, protagonist is a slime and in Mushoku Tensei, the protagonist is born as a baby.

Both are really similar in these forms : - Isekai world - Reincarned MC keeping his previous mind/souvenirs. - Want to learn extra quick to be the best - Harem feels with a lil girl magic master and then lot of female around

Main protagonist dies and reincarnates into a fantasy world. While Mushoku Tensei has swords and magic, Honzuki no Gekokujou is filled with classism and the main protagonist's kink for books. Both protagonist remembers their previous life whether it is vividly or fragmentedly and has huge character developments as they influence those around them.

Both series are Isekais told in a more immersive way. The Main character is not any generic overpowered MC but a well-thought character with personalities and ambitions for a 2nd chance of life in a completely new world. The storytelling is written to slowly build the character development of our MC and to show us the world as well as to show us the life of the MCs and their adventures. The difference is that Mushoku tensei have a lot of NSFW stuff, especially the MC being a pervert, while The faraway paladin focuses more on overwordly stuff such as fictional religions and gods.

Do you love Isekai? There you go! Both of the series have their fun elements especially Konosuba is basically more focused on comedy whereas Mushoku Tensei is more on the serious side. Go give it a try.

Younger versions of the reincarnated MCs share the same VA and act way more mature than their age. You get to see how being reincarnated younger gives them certain advantages. Completely different plots otherwise, but certainly amusing nonetheless.

Isekai story also focused on slow paced character drama where human interaction anchored in reality and character developpement is everything.

Generic, but nicely executed isekai. MC is hit by a truck and dies. He is rebron as an infant in another fantasy world of sword and magic. He also grows to be quite overpowered.

Both featured similarly flawed protagonist that shared similar trait (especially the LN version of NHK) and both focused on character growth as they're faced with new situation. Mushoku is on the lighter side while NHK is more on the heavier side of story.

What makes a good fantasy series is worldbuilding. Made in Abyss and Mushoku Tensei have distinct societies that emerged from their unique environments. Lore is an important aspect to the worldbuilding and the narrative in both series. These series are able to showcase these strengths when their main characters become adventurers. Made in the Abyss quickly begins the adventure, but relies on overt exposition throughout the series. Mushoku Tensei takes an entire cour to introduce and build a fantasy world that will only be explored in Mushoku Tensei Part 2. Both series standout when it comes to worldbuilding and grandeur compared to many fantasy adventure  read more

The two worlds rigorously work on their magical systems, and present explanations in a way that the audience more inclined towards the sci-fi genre is satisfied. Training matters, and the results of battles depend more on strategy than on the amount of power. Both works focus more on plot and character development than on battles.

Both anime's main point is showing the growth of characters, similiar to Vinland Saga. Both Rudeus and Thorfinn shows big character developments in the series, both mentally and physically.

Being both isekai series where the main characters get reincarnated and hold their memories of the past life in Japan, another similarity I find is the story pacing thus far. Also both main characters are more skilled in magic than the rest of the cast and they end up adventuring around various places of the new world.

Both are heavily story-based shows. Pretty enjoyable characters. Both have great protagonists. Both shows have great animation. Go check the other show out. :)

Isekai. The common drill, MC finds themself in a new world. Since tropes are common, I will focus on differences. The main one being the placement of the two MCs. In Overlord, Ainz is quite literally the most powerful being, borderline worshipped as a god too, compared to MT with a start-up run-of-the-mill Rudeus who starts his life from the bottom and tries to work his way up the ladder. Would like to point out how Overlord and MT both do a good job with smart characters getting an understanding of this newfound large world and using that to their advantage for the wish they pursue. Main character is isekai'ed into a magical world where they retain their memories but need to adapt using their previous neet/otaku memories and adaptability. Comedy based.

Honzuki is basically the shoujo version of mushoku Not sure if you like one you will like the other specially since each one of them is targeted toward a different audience but if you want to enjoy a great isekai with great cast and great world building then I recommend them

Isekai. Tanya the Evil and MT both feature an iskeai'd protagonist making do with the new life they have, in a new reincarnation too. The trope is extremely common, so I will point out differences. Tanya the Evil is almost like a chess game with nations being in a realistic representation of war, MT being a story of one seeking to transform into a better human with their first life wasted as a neet. Both are pretty well known isekai anime. With one being an intriguing military genre, the other being an adventure that only knows of expanding such a trek.

They have a high production value, heavily rely on fanservice, most of the female characters in both of them are lewd material and not strongly written, they all fall in love with the protagonist, with one of them being 40 yrs old X children and the other being Jesus X personality-Less 1 dimensional waifus, the story is mostly slice of life, if you liked one of them, then keep it a secret.

1. Both MC started their ordinary lives as adults. 2. Both were able to become powerful mage. 3. Both started being kids in their new worlds

While Mushoku Tensei is an isekai anime, and Keyaru goes to the past of his own world, both anime have a similar fantasy setting. Both main characters were treated like scum in their previous lives but get a chance to redo their lives; they get to keep their memories and gain powerful magics, which they both use to fulfill...their perverted desires. Both have questionable sexual content, but Kaifuku/Redo is a LOT darker and a LOT more explicit.

The Eminence in Shadow is a recent isekai that surprised me. It definitely sits at the top of the genre with the other three mentioned.

At 27 years old, Arata Kaizaki is stuck in a cycle of being unable to land a job after quitting his first job after 3 months. This soon changes after he is given the chance to relive his life as a 17 year old high schooler for one year and will be granted a job to help him return to society. Like Rudy he thinks of his age and experience in life to be something that will help him. But just like Mushoku Tensei, it  read more

Isekai. The common drill, MC, in this case, both neets, finds themself in a new world. Common tropes to be found here, differences follow. NGNL features game experts Blank in an attempt to give power to the very race they are aligned in, via playing games. MT follows basic Rudeus trying to become a better person from what he started off as. I suppose MT is based on improvement compared to NGNL almost war-like setup. Both are great fantasy anime, look very pleasing, and generally a ton of fun. Plenty of fanservice in both if you like that too.

Main character is reborn, and a bit too OP. They're a bit monotone, but comedic and sassy. They are raised by a loving/quirky family and still have an interesting adventure as they need to adapt to the current magical world.

-Similar fantasy/adventure setting -Amazing animation and peculiar various well animated environments -Mediocre story in the first season which gets a lot better in the second season -Immersive world-building -Engaging enough characters with a perv overpowered kid as a main character

Vastly different genres, but aimed towards the same demographic. Both include a horny, naive MC who has one mission to experience as many lewd things as possible and will inevitably go on his adventure to become super OP and reliable. Both series are set in a fantasy world, and have your dream/fantasy waifus...

Both shows are about an MC who gets reincarnated in a new body in a different world or a future timeline. They take a really good take on the reincarnation aspect since both MCs are stuck with what they used to live as in their previous life, creating some awkward moments in the current society they live in, as they don't really fit in. So they need to learn to get accustomed to their new environment.

Both anime take place in a world where mages and magic is common. In both of the anime, Magic is the most prominent power. Both MCs are Harem kings[Asta-Noelle, Mimosa, Sister Lily, Vanessa, Secre] [Rudeus-Roxy, Sylphiette, Eris, Ghislaine]

Both have fantastic worldbuilding and characters. Both soundtracks are great and they both have dark tones and themes while still seeming pretty lighthearted. But most of all, the journey is the most important thing in both. Similar to something like Lord of the Rings, you go on a journey in both and, by the end of it, you won't want it to end.

Danmachi is one of the few other isekai (yeah, yeah, it's not isekai, and tomatoes are fruits but we call them vegetables) with well-written world and characters. Danmachi 8/10 Mushoku Tensei 10/10

Both stories give off the same feeling of a grand fantasy adventure in a new world that's just waiting to be explored by the main characters. The vibe is similar for both especially when it came to the ost of both and the themes of both of the anime go much deeper than just the fact that they are "adventure stories". Starts with exactly the same type as a japanese guy getting reincarnated in a land of magic and fantasy. More like a game setting. Both of the main protagonist are related to games in their previous lives and died at their 30's (around). But they turn young when they get reincarnated into an unknown world. Magic becomes their first use into the new land too. Difference between them is in Mushoku Tensei the story becomes gradually more deep and dark but in Death March the story stays enjoyable and light. If you like one of them be sure to give the other one a try.

Rudeus' bullying backstory is like the 4th episode of RakuKishi that traumatize anyone because of Shizuya, the ultimate worst of all worst characters in all of anime that scarred my life and prevent me from watching it. In additon, both MCs are loser protagonists

-both are fantasy isekai's however in quanzhi fashi he isn't reincarnated just transported -in both anime's there us a decently developed magic system -in both shows the main character cultivates their magical ability's to become overpowered -however in quanzhi fashi the plot isn't as in depth and progresses a lot faster. with the the story having a different vibe with the show being less focus on character development.

MC dies and reincarnates into a fantasy world (Isekai). Both Isekai stories start from their childhood. Both MC's get girl tutors as kids. But they are way stronger than their tutors. Both MC's are overpowered. Both series have comedy elements.

Main protagonist loses his family due to tragedy and sets out to do what he can to bring them back. Along the way, he meets many new characters that are developed throughout the show. The main character also has a special ability that many hold him in high regard for (alchemy without a circle/casting without words.) Protagonist is also occasionally teleported to a white void and speaks with a strange figure.

Mushoku was inspired by Rance, which makes Rance like Mushoku's cooler older brother. The main character Rance was the main inspiration for Paul, only we're not supposed to think Rance is cool or pine for the days when male characters could be written this way without SJWs trying to "cancel" the series. We're supposed to laugh at him. Rance is intentionally a piece of shit whose frequent rapes, physical abuse of his slave, and awful dialogue are entirely played for dark comedy. Rance is basically Conan the Barbarian portrayed as a 1980s anime pervert. Like Mushoku, Rance is a Western Fantasy and RPG inspired power  read more

Both shows have high-quality animation made by some of the best-talented staff. The source materials are incredible too as they take the isekai genre and does a lot of effort with it. They both have: -Incredible worldbuilding with well-thought-out lore and history. -Interesting cast of characters who feel real and can develop through the stories. -A well-built magic system that sticks out from the traditional formula or RPG logic. If you loved Mushoku Tensei and are looking for other high-quality Iseaki or Fantasy works, then The executioner and her way of life is a well-recommended one!

The source material for both these shows were ancestors of the modern isekai genre. The YU-NO visual novel came out in 1996, while the Mushoku web novel came out in 2012. Both works were critically acclaimed and commercial successful in their original media. And since their releases, numerous modern isekai works borrowed heavily from both these works. However, their anime adaptations were delayed for a long time, releasing years after many of the isekai anime they inspired. Another similarity is the protagonists. The protagonist in both works are horny perverts. The protagonists of both works thus have a somewhat polarizing reception among modern audiences. A key difference is  read more

While the plot of these anime have almost nothing in common, the linking part here is the protagonist, who on the contrary are similar - both are good for nothing leecherous, laidback and calculating "trash of society", but in serious moments turn into dependable, clever and strong people who protect their close ones. Coincidentally, they are also both voiced by the same dude.

Fantastic aspects of both worlds align. We have guilds, magic systems, a medieval-like age. Training matters, and the results of battles depend more on strategy than on the amount of power. Goblin Slayer is in a certain way a non-isekai alternative, much more action-focused and less gamified.

Quite a literal similarity, with both stories having their MC go into a younger one's body and continue their adventure from there. The two MCs also start at a somewhat dead-end position living a slightly low-tier life. With Erased being a murder mystery, MT is about redeeming oneself from the harsh onslaught reality can throw. Highly acclaimed stories you should watch to see where the glory lies if nothing else.

Coming of age. The entire journey, the entire trek, the entire road. Degenerates. MT and WataMote know how to make a good degenerate type character. The best part is how they are to some extent realistic representations. The plot is the only ramifying matter as the two don't align there, with one being an isekai story, MT, the other being about a high schooler, WataMote. Regardless, both do bring up some funny moments relative to their situations you may want to find time to spare. Both are great anime that are actually the building blocks for something a bit grander*. MT being an adventure fantasy story compared to the school comedy WataMote brings. *for source material if interested.
