Honestly, the only two similarities between these two anime are the fact that they have vivid, ravishing, elegant animation to their stories at play, and I'd like to think that said animation greatly enhances everything in these two anime, from more impactful storytelling and conveying of feels. Otherwise, there isn't a lot more to go on about.

The two stories are there for those looking for action with passion built into the very veins of these shows. One side is the Japanese way, with the other the Chinese way. Good historical works and representations too.

I have seen just another person recommend Nanatsu no Taizai and I think it's unfair because their both great animes. Very similar indeed, both being about some knights/slayers hunting demons and wanting to save their loved ones. The MCs are kinda relatable to each other, both being small, friendly, OP when needed characters.

Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen addpermalink

Both deal with supernatural evils and both fight with swords that each character has as a unique fighting style with. The set up of the warriors ranks and titles are very similar for both the good and bad sides. When watching this show my mind kept screaming Bleach (In a good way) and I think anyone who enjoyed Demon Slayer should at least give Bleach a look and vice versa.

Vinland Saga addpermalink

I enjoyed both of these series significantly. While Vinland Saga has countless differences from Demon Slayer, including genre (historical), violence level (far more violent than Demon Slayer), and protagonist personalities, one will likely enjoy both as:
- both are shonen (to my knowledge)
- both protagonists are talented in combat
- both are motivated by their family relationships in the main plot. In Demon Slayer, the protagonist is motivated to save/work with his sister despite her inhuman nature, and Vinland Saga was born out of the protagonist's desire for revenge for his father.
- There are quite a few combat scenes in both.
- Both are newer shows, so they have vibrant and up-to-date art and fun soundtracks to appeal to today's audience.

It is worth noting that Vinland Saga has much more of a mature vibe and world-building than Demon Slayer, so one who enjoys the maturity and historical aspect of Vinland Saga might be turned off by the Demon Slayer.  read more

Both series see a prodigy orphan train himself to his limits in order to gain strength for his goal.
Both JUMP series.
Orochimaru is similarly dark to Muzan.
Both have great OST's, characters, world building and stories.

Natsume Yuujinchou addpermalink

Both contain dramatic stories of supernatural creatures which the protagonist meets. For "Kimetsu no Yaiba" these are stories of people who lost their lives and became demons that try to compensate their regrets from the lifetime. Tanjirou is helping them just by understanding them and treating like humans. In "Natsume Yuujinchou" the protagonist solves problems of many youkai, the most common issue of whose is loneliness caused by inability to communicate with people.

These animes both have supernatural interactions and fun stories. Tanjiro and Hanako are both trying to beat the evil side even though their both afraid of doing it so. Tsukasa and Muzan both created a source of evil in a violent way.

These two animes have a lot in common which is why I think their a good match up.

One of the things which drew me to making this recommendation is the similarity in styles, but they also involve the subject of demons, although the takes differ except for one thing, that demons are a form of corruption. There is also a search for a cure going on, albeit who is cursed and who is searching for the curse differs slightly as well. The characters from both series are quite diverse in personality types, and the action is riveting.

Seirei no Moribito addpermalink

Both series share a dark oriental mystical setting; Moribito being in a ancient Asian inspired territory and Kimetsu set in 19th century Japan. They both follow a character acting as a guardian for a child they share a deep bond with. 

They're both adventure fantasies with some really awesome action and magic, though Moribito's action scenes are more realistic; mostly focusing on weapons based martial arts whereas as Kimetsu uses a mixture of martial arts and magic.

Demon Slayer and FMA have similar character roles and fights against demons but the atmosphere isn’t the same. 

After the death or disappearance of their entire family, the main characters (Tanjirou/Edward) share similar goals, to search for a way to return the body of their younger sibling (Nezuko/Alphonse) to normal. 

(Tanjirou/Edward) fight side by side with their younger sibling (Nezuko/Alphonse) and the bond they share is admired by others such as (Mitsuri/Armstrong) not to mention (Giyuu/Roy) the person who lead the way for them to be what they are in the story(military alchemist/demon slayer) also share some characteristics like being cold but considerate and protective of them.

Sirius and Demon Slayer have a similar premise. A boy seeks to avenge the slaughtering of his family by supernatural creatures. Sirius is set in the interwar period while Demon Slayer is set in the Meiiji period. Yuliy (Sirius) and Tanjirou (Demon Slayer) joins an organization to help them in their quest for vengeance. Yuliy is naturally powerful because of his innate abilities whereas Tanjirou developed his skills through training and combat. Your level of enjoyment for each series will likely parallel the production value of the series.

The MC in both anime are hunting demons/vampires with a katana. 

The feeling is different though. Blood+ is oldstyle and more dramatic. Vampires don't have feelings and only kill, so they have to be killed, while in KnY, the demons do and the MC can feel their emotional past/state.

A career demon killer teams up with a demon to - what else? - kill demons and save their sibling.

It's not an original plot, but both shows manage to make it their own by building interesting and unique settings - both (roughly) set in the 1920's, in Taisho-era Japan and the Jazz Age United States. There's a definite emphasis on action, but the shows don't back down from leaning into both the comedy and tragedy aspects of the genre when needed.

Chrono Crusade fans can enjoy the beautiful animation and modern artstyle present in Kimetsu no Yaiba, while Kimetsu no Yaiba fans can look to Chrono Crusade for more of this kind of story - with the benefit of a conclusive ending - while waiting for the next season. read more

Both feature demons and show their own interpretations of demon society. Blood lad is a lot more lighthearted although both shows depict similar ideas of supernatural demonic entities. Both have great humour although Demon Slayer/KnY's is used more sparingly.

-their similar ranking of hunters (adventurers in GS / Demon slayers in KNY) 10 ranks in both .
-they are both about the protagonist hunting monsters as in demons or goblins for killing their loved ones.
-even the names are similar (Goblin / Demon ) Slayer :)
-Goblin slayer is more gruesome and gory than Demon slayer , but they are both not that disturbing if u ask me.

all in all if u liked demon slayer i definetely recommend checking out goblin slayer ....

Both anime have similar styles in animation. The story is quite matching about the MC revenging for his family. In Jouran, they are fighting Nues, while in demon slayer is on the more comedy side.
