Sending this list to anyone that needs to start watching (more) anime

I tried picking some more generally accepted shows that range from different genres, some longer ones, some shorter ones and a mix of ongoing and finished anime/manga

Most of these will also have almost all of their content available in both subbed and dubbed for those who have a preference towards one or the other
Jujutsu Kaisen
TV, 2020, 24 eps Me:- Author:7
Description:
Action/Battle show where martial artists with magic-like abilities fight demons that only they can see. The animation quality with this one is always off the charts, but it still is pretty fun.

If you're still doubting about commiting; the movie great to get a feel for the characters and world, then you can either drop the series or move in to the first season

- Jujustu Kaisen 0 Movie
- Season 1 (24 eps)
- Season 2 (23 eps)
- Season 3 (currently in production)
Haikyuu!!
TV, 2014, 25 eps Me:- Author:9
Description:
Extremely fun volleyball sports anime where the characters are the center pieces. Keep in mind that, like any sports anime, the matches in the series can take a good number of episodes to complete. Just look at S3 containing a single match over 10 episodes.

Status (manga): finished

- Season 1 (25 eps)
- Season 2 (25 eps)
- Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa (10 eps)

Death Note
TV, 2006, 37 eps Me:- Author:9
Description:
The original cat and mouse anime. Story about a guy who finds a notebook that can kill people if you write their name in it. The quality of the story does dip a bit once the second part starts (episode 27), but it still is worth a full watch through if you like a more psychological storyline.

Status (anime): finished
Status (manga): finished

Season 1 (37 eps)
Kekkai Sensen
TV, 2015, 12 eps Me:- Author:10
Description:
This one is a very personal pick, it's a super fun mystical series that is set in New York City, however the city has been turned into a world that borders "The Beyond", now it is inhabited by both humans, and monsters. Now a secret society named "Libra" needs to act in order to maintain the balance in this strange new world.

The animation for this anime is extremely top-notch, and the characters are all extremely fun to follow throughout the 24 episodes that have released.

Animated by Studio Bones, who have worked on the My Hero Academia anime for the past 8 years.

Status (anime): ongoing (most recent season was in 2017)

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen
TV, 2019, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Descirption:
One of the most unique takes on the rom-com genre. This series thrives on its main two leads, who are in love with each other, yet their one goal in life is to make the OTHER confess first. Since Love is War and the one who confesses first loses the battle.

An extremely fun, 3-season complete story about a boy with psychic powers. Might honestly be the most consistently, high quality piece of work in the story, characters, and the animation from the past decade. (god bless Studio Bones once again).

Spy x Family
TV, 2022, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Description

One of the more recent "casual" anime series that has gotten really popular, really quick. It's about this make-shift family who all have a secret identity/power that they need to keep as a secret from the others, it's very much based on a short story format with some overachring arcs here and there.

- Season 2 (12 eps)

A Sci-fy cyberpunk esc story about Space Cowboys. It still has some of the greatest choreographed fight scenes in anime to this day, and the soundtrack and character all elevate this show to the pedestal that it still sits on to this day.
