features a transgender character
Anime
i included non-binary in the definition of transgender :)
by the way, this has nothing to do with how good the show is or anything (or even how good the representation is), I am just always desperate for more transgender characters.
some of these are not confirmed technically, but i included them anyways with a note that it might not be 100% canon - but they *are* all at least heavily implied.

the show just treats him like a feminine boy, but I'm pretty sure Hideri Kanzaki is just trans

it's still confusing, but Chihiro is either a transwoman or at least gender non-conforming

Dororo is a trans boy.
I think... this adaptation is a little strange about if he is or isn't (weird last cut). Either, Dororo is a trans boy *OR* "she was raised as a boy by her parents to keep her safe in the long run, if she was raised a girl and left alone with just her mother when Dororo’s father died they would have easily been preyed upon and trafficked" as a Redditor suggested.
I believe in the manga he reinforces that he is a boy after Hyakkimaru tells him to "try acting more like a girl". But I read a fan translation, so who's to say.
Either way, he is gender non-conforming in some way.

again, people play it off as "just a femboy", but I'm pretty sure Astolfo is a trans woman

Rei Batsubami *might* be transgender. This one I'm actually not sure. I see it on a lot of lists, so I included it just to be sure.

Najimi Osana is genderqueer. There's a lot going on with their gender between the manga, anime, and different translations as to if they are a trans girl or genderqueer, but I'm going genderqueer for safety.

i, personally, believe that the manga confirms Saiki is a trans boy, but this is up to debate. he could also be considered gender fluid (he switches between male and female forms multiple times). he is *at least* under the trans umbrella somehow.

Ruka Urushibara is a trans woman - I think. Not 100% sure what's going on here because I haven't actually seen Steins;Gate. But, from what Reddit and fanWiki have said, I'm pretty sure she's a trans woman mistreated by the narrative.
