It went off the deep end, it had so many cool and interesting ideas, that by the end it just said fuck it and didn't tie up any of them. it's a massive disappointment that can easily turn into greatness with a season 2 that ties everything up. so lets hope for it.

unique is putting it lightly. name one other show where the mc turns into a furry suit that a yandere-like girl has to get naked and go inside of, so they can fight with others battle royal style, just to get coins for a vending machine that has an alien living in it, because those coins are actually his fellow aliens and bringing them to him will allow you to grant a wish....

Great show, the ending of season 1 can feel a bit shaky, but s2 goes out of it's way to address all those problems, so I wouldn't worry, really hoping this gets a season 3.

not for everyone, it's almost closer to being a philosophy podcast. it's mostly different characters talking about certain philosophy relating to a certain form of utopia.
it's pretty thought provoking and has an extremely interesting antagonist, but sadly those 2 are the only things that make this worth watching. the production is average, it's VERY dialogue heavy and has questionable ending which I've been told does make more sense in the novel

JoJo has so many elements that are have never been replicated in any other series I have ever seen, DESPITE the fact that the series is decades old, and has been extremely influential for almost just as long.
you can see how so many shows took notes from mushoku tensei in everything that has come after. but despite jojo having a bigger impact than mushoku could ever dream of, you STILL can't find a show even similar to jojo. specially when it comes to the stand battles.

I don't know of any other show that uses the "stage play feel" like this. nothing comes even close. just like vanitas, what makes it stand out is how the story is told, not necessarily the core story itself.

I would say love is war and steins;gate were the closest things to replicating what works so well about this show.
and eminence in shadow did have a similar core concept. but I think it still stands as something unique enough to be here.
