Lost media/unavailable anime
AnimeUnlisted
Anime that are either lost or just unavailable for public distribution. I tried to go really obscure in here, but it also has mainstream entries.
Not in the list:
-Naruto Shounen-hen: reairings of old Naruto episodes with fixed VFX and added CGI. While I don't think any of the episodes are "lost", it turns out that the opening theme song is.
-Tsubu Doll: OVAs centered on a group of idols from Sagamihara. The OVAs were meant to promote tourism in Sagamihara. Cancelled.
-Sailor Moon The Miracle 4D: a 4D movie that's been briefly aired on Universal Studios Japan, but hasn't received a home release of any kind.

Limited release movie. Not lost, but the only way to watch it is to fly to Japan and request it via Toho Dreampass. Soundtrack and art book are still being printed to this day.

Partially lost early adaptation of Tove Johnson's books. Infamous for being an adaptation that Tove herself actively hated. "These are not my Moomin."
