Highly recommend this movie, the animation style and atmosphere are amazing and very different in comparison with the TV series. Personally I don't think there's need to watch One Piece before this since the movie is great even on it's own.

This is an absolutely amazing OVA, it's short, has a unique animation style and the story literally brought me to tears.
