*****spoiler*****
I really enjoyed this...until episode 9. I mean seriously, who adds a new character in episode 9? You've already got an established plot and a crew that works well, but then you throw in a character that did exactly what you would expect at that stage in the game: leave them completely out of almost everything. Alice had almost no viable reason for existing. She had no impact on the rest of the episodes. Maybe her talent scout saw an easy job to start her career and that's why she popped in when she did.
Ryota had guns and nothing else, something that he never once
...
dropped. He haven't used any real tactic outside of that. Everything was perfect and he immediately knew the answer to every single problem. It was nice to see him get knocked around for about 20 seconds in episode 12, more than in the entire series combined. He was given this machismo where he acted like everything was for everybody else and he didn't care and whatnot, which fits and overpowered MC, but this was done poorly. At least make an adjustment in his voice to react to things. There's never distress nor is there signs of exhaustion outside of episode 2 when he worked all the overtime to get a house for Emily. I'm also terribly disappointed that sparks didn't fly between them. It was obvious that he was certainly interested in her, but there was no discussion of anything else from her side and how she felt.
I think Emily is the best character in this entire series. She's always kind and sweet and she cares about others genuinely. It doesn't matter who is around, she's just kind in general. She was an excellent complement to Ryota and it worked so well. I think her VA for the English dub was very well done. She's fit her character.
Eve was a complete waste and was there solely for comedic reasons. The most extensive anything that she put out there was in her backstory when she left her original family when she was young. Other than that, she's just a gag that could have been used 2-3 times and we would have all been better for it.
I think Celeste fit in and did well in the role of the character that needed development and work towards it. Ryota was a great role model for her to keep increasing everything.
I know they referred to the guilds as families, but that always messes with me. This is a pop culture thing that drives how weird I felt about this, but they said Ryota Family and I can't help but think of Manson Family or some sort of mobster conglomerate. It's just what comes to mind.
I definitely don't see much reason to suggest this to much anybody, but somebody may like it enough that I can't say that I wouldn't offer it to others, though it might be with a disclaimer.

I don't know if there if any way that I could list all of the great things about this show. I enjoyed it immensely. I can understand why some people wouldn't like it, simply because I always have take into account those that don't like the style and simplicity. It's not going to challenge you, but it will soothe you in a lot of different ways.
Here are all the things that I found great about it as I can think of, off the top of my head. If you watch this, I hope you can find them too.
The visuals are amazing.
The color is maintained
...
throughout.
Transitions are wonderful.
It's wholesome x10.
The gradual build to all of the main characters, which reaches a large amount is handled individually and shows up by every episode. The balance of characters is just about perfect.
The dub was spot on. Kudos to the actors that got all of the emotions and expressions and reactions perfectly. That goes across the board from adults down to children.
Like every other gag character, the one here was no exception to my annoyance, though she's still fits a pretty good gap and was a nice way to accent all of the regularness (yep, not a word, but I went with it because it's worth it that's when I was recording this.)
There was consistent attention to detail to the little things that you don't realize is being done. For example, there is a ghost that has blue flames that hang over her shoulders. If she is behind a couple of people and only one flame is showing and she flies just enough for the other shoulder to show, the flame shows as well.
This was mostly a two-part, one episode show, though there are two that take up the whole time slot.
I needed this is a breather from some of the things I have been watch and I made a wonderful choice; simple dumb luck paid off. I've added two more 10/10 shows lately I'm truly tickled. I'm ready to go back to something more like what I usually see.
As mentioned, 10/10. I slap a very hard recommend on this.

This is a wonderfully wholesome show, much like Laid-Back Camp. The flow is smooth and it's a very nice presentation, both from characters and artistic style and anything else you can think of. The music was well chosen and performed is appropriately accompanied whatever was on screen.
A couple of things that bug me: there was so little confrontation and conflict. Everything that goes with making and protecting and operating a village is ignored. Everything's always good. Any enemies that came along were automatically killed with a magic sphere in two shots, meaning wyverns and dragons. Additionally, when Lu becomes pregnant, there is no
...
indication of whether it is Hariku's baby or not because he's a vampire and things could be different. He seems to be way too much of a pansy for that kind of thing. Her affection forwas visible in loving stares at him when he wasn't looking through different situations, particularly through episode 7, 8, and 9. It was obvious yet they allowed him to be completely dense as is common with this kind of situation.
All things are resolved in the final episode and done rather well, I just wish they had shown their relationship just a little more in detail through private conversations or something to build up to it because it just popped out of nowhere. Furtherly, Lu started out as a main character and definitely became a background character by the end of the show, so that popping up seems to have been a little out of place.
I know that seems like a lot wrong for two different complaints, but it's not enough to ruin any of this. It's definitely a 9 because of that, but I'd say that's not too bad considering how bad it could have gotten.

For 24 episodes, this flowed very nicely. I didn't get bored at any one time and I could drop the series off for a little bit and pick it right up and not feel like I missed anything or run into a continuity issue that required me to go back and re-educate myself on.
At the beginning, I knew that I was going to enjoy at least the MC from a voice perspective. Brittany Karbowski is my favorite VA and really impressed me with Rimiru. While it was kind of light in tone throughout the whole show for Rimiru, her presentation to each situation matched perfectly.
...
I think what impressed me most about this within regards to the lack of range in emotion is the sheer volume of dialogue she had to go through. I think it could be safe to say that she had about half of all dialogue. I couldn't imagine just how exhaustive that would have to be.
In regards to the show and the storyline, I enjoyed how each situation was handled, however I think they were too many conflicts. Most were brought up and resolved in two episodes and all of the decisions to major problems were done on the fly, like with the Cryptid and the summoned children. It just happened all at once and been and BAM, they were resolved. It was extremely frustrating to watch. I really would have preferred if they cut back on one or two confrontation(s) versus having six or seven. Give me a longer, drawn out interaction, perhaps in three episodes instead of two like is seen in a lot of other shows. I would also like to have seen ownership by the characters rather than an easy solution, like when Milim took down the Cryptid. One large shot and it was over with.
Despite its shortcomings, it's well worth watching to enjoy. I know that there are spin-off episodes that I caught two of and a movie and five OVAs. I can't say that I liked the show enough to chase all of that down, though.
Certainly worth a recommend.

This was beautiful!
Everything from start to finish was nearly perfectly executed. I'm so glad to finally see an isekai that I've seen that has excellent fight scenes! It has everything. There are a couple of decisions that I think we're weird and I know they were put in there just to make a plot point (and close one) the could be added later in the story.
Characters are well portrayed and the animation is great. Rather than just being straight up brown everything and having no portrayal as seen in many isekai, this has color in the scenes have characters. Individual colors that were with each
...
other had a beginning and an end. You learn about the backgrounds of side characters. Ones just enough to merge into the current story and what was coming well building their character. Things that needed to be remembered later.
Out of all of the anime I have ever seen (not as much as many, but a whole lot for me considering the ratio), this is only the 5th perfect score I've ever given. I'm truly that impressed with it.

I really liked this, but there were so many problems with the story and character development, as in there wasn't one of either that was successfully employed or executed.
The MC took 12 episodes to grow a pair and actually show something other than his nice guy attitude. Episode 13 was great and what we need more of. That was great. He saved everybody twice (and that's a whole lot of people), with the exception of Cowarie(?), Which was three, I think.
Every episode was wash, rinse, repeat. Insert different words and situations, but just run into the same thing. The relationship issue was
...
handled well and I'm really happy to see what happened and how it happened. Apparently there's a second season coming, which I will definitely watch. I would really like to see what perpetuates from there, but I find it very hard to believe that he's going to become the badass with confidence that he needs to be. He's the same at the end as he was at the beginning and that is really sad and depressing. Every main character needs to have an arc and this guy didn't. They took his birthday away.
His voice actor was a nice change but I would not put him in with a isekai genre. That should have a slight grit because of the nature of the show. It should be deeper. It also shouldn't make me think of a certain 14-year-old boy walking the streets of Tokyo at night with a vampire either. I know that that's not any fault to the people that cast him and that the voice was cast to suit his personality. Regretfully, I think that hurt things, even though it was nice to hear a change of pace. Most main characters seem to be handed out to about the same 4 or 5 different VA and that's it.
Definitely go watch this, but don't expect much for story or arc.

This is a GEM!
This sat in my watch list for a long time and selected it finally as an eenie meenie miney mo kind of situation.
This is super unique. It's entertaining but also drops a lot of information about shows and about how they work and what certain employees and aspects there are. There are references to different characters from other shows and renames of shows that are completely entertaining (i. e. "Ru:Zero" and "Feathersoba." To tie into the rest of the theme, they include other characters without naming them to avoid copyright. Megumin is most prominent as she is portrayed in a different
...
style but with the same colors and with a single line that she was a mage that did only the most important explosion magic or something like that.
I definitely recommend this. It's a lot of fun and made for an easy binge. I didn't have to think all that much. I hope others can find the pleasure in it that I did.

This was so boring.
It seemed like the 12 episodes were twice that. It has the same isekai problem that you see everywhere by waiting to show any development of the main goal until the end of the show in the second half of the last episode.
The delivery of speech is terrible for every male character. The female characters are definitely worthwhile, however, with his mom, Tart and Dia having a good dialogue in the VA making the most of it. His mom is definitely scatterbrained and a little bit off her rocker, but truly lovely. There was a nice comedic ring to what
...
little scenes she had.
I really thought about tearing my hair out because I got so frustrated, but I hate to drop something unless it's absolutely offensive to me, so I soldiered on.
I'm glad it's in the past there and think slamming a mixed feelings on this is kind of generous.

I binged this in one day and it was probably the easiest binges I've ever had, simply for the content alone.
I can see where somebody would hate this and I also can see why people would be on the fence about this. What I am sure of is that there are not enough people that like it at an 8/10 like I did.
I think the best part of this is the fact that it is so random and chaotic. There is the baseline between her and the dog that carries things, but all of the stuff that happens outside of them is completely random and
...
it changes from episode to episode. I think the last episode was GOLD.
Follow the nonsense while remembering which character is which by name only or even just association with their primary location, like working at a particular bookstore, is all you need to know. Normally this style of show is one that I would drop. For some reason I really engaged with this on a different level and I'm very glad that I took a chance on it.
I honestly don't have many complaints, but the one that does bother me more than anything is the VA for the dog. I think it could have been portrayed in a similar fashion with a different tone, something that might have fit the dog a little bit better, but for that to be the only detractor for me, I'd say that's pretty good.
Definitely slapping a recommend on this.

If you are looking for a show that is Yuri as described in many places across the internet, you'll be disappointed to see that all you get is a yandere. Why did I feel it was necessary to note first? Well, show isn't worth an awful lot outside of that fact. That's probably the most important part.
The whole thing seemed like a really washed out soap opera to me, just with magic. The amount of drama/conflict that exists in this show is completely ridiculous and none of it has any sort of real relevance to the rest of the show. It just shows up when
...
they're bored. Most of the battles are short-lived and are ended very easily and very quickly by the MC.
I guess I can throw a mixed feelings on this, but this is definitely one of those shows that I wish that I hadn't taken a time to watch but might be somebody else's perfect score.
