Just for the information.

The first episode and the following first episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama

Since you're planning Shuffle!, please don't be put off by the first chapters, or the first volume in general, it has a rough start, I loved it but I've seen more then enough people not like the first volume , it gets better from v2 onward, and v5 is a genuine 10/10,all the people I've encouraged to read more after the first volume all came to love it.
