Yes and no really. Part 4 completely changes how JoJo works bar maybe 3-4 episodes. It becomes more of a SoL mystery than a shounen. I'd say it completely leaves the shounen genre in part 4 and it's a big step away from the usual JoJo archetype. Besides the 3-4 episodes of course that are monster of the week. It's a short arc that shouldn't really bother you.

Jojo is the definition of turning your brain off and watching masculine men beat each other with their masculine spirits.

I can't remember exactly why I liked the villain of the week format. I guess each one of them felt interesting enough to get me through the episode. What I liked the most though was the characters in part 3, they were 90% of my enjoyment. They're all funny and exciting to watch.

I can definitely understand that, if you don't like it I'm afraid it's not gonna get any better until part 4 sadly.

Still watching JoJo? I'm proud. People say stardust crusaders season one is a weak season, while in hindsight that might be true and it's a typical 80's shounen, it's just full of spirit. Hard not to like for me. Season 2 only gets better and part 4 of JoJo blows all of them out of the water.

Yeah I honestly hated the first part, if you read my tags you'd see that I think JoJo keeps getting better and better with time. Part 4 is also my favorite so far.
