Anyway, another recommendation I would give is something like Irresponsible Captain Tylor, it's another sci-fi but also a comedy, I really enjoy it. If you want an older space anime, there's Space Pirate Captain Harlock and/or Galaxy Express 999; they're both made by the same mangaka, and I love them both a lot, great sci-fi with a lot of heart. If you like Cowboy Bebop, the same director made Samurai Champloo and Space Dandy which are both favorites of mine as well.
