Hanasaku Iroha and Ano Hana has both tear jerking drama and splendid animation. Both are also original works.

If you liked Saki add

...then you might like Queen's Blade: Gyokuza wo Tsugu Mono add

Girls fighting to be the best. Loads of fanservice, ecchi and yuri hints. Though Saki seems to be more subtle (unless you watch the DVD ofcourse). Oh, right and exciting battles, though for Queen's Blade， it is much more predictable. Characters to watch for are Yuuki (Saki) and Nanael (Queen's Blade). Rie Kugimiya and Aya Hirano, ftw.

...then you might like Kaichou wa Maid-sama! add

Forceful main girls, and both have a vulnerable sides. They also can't stand a certain guy.

Onani Master Kurosawa and TWEWY is both similar with the main character being anti-social, and meet many people which changes them for the better.

Let's face it. GA and SZS are both great anime, and have both the random humour. let's also face it, sometimes you can't follow SZS and GA's storyline. that's why it's very similar. ;D

There are very similar to each other, although xxxHolic has a much darker perspective than Sayonara Zetsubuo Sensei, and Sayonara Zetsubuo Sensei has a much funnier comedic perspective?

Okay, both are ecchi AND the girls in Musumet wears sailor suit! Also, I think they have the same animators, so It's very much like the same.

Like confusing anime? They both are. though, Hime-sama is for girls, and Umisho is for boys.

Actually, I think Tsubasa Fukuchi got the idea of Law of Ueki from Flame of Recca. Anyways that's why I recommend Law of Ueki, for the reason I gave. Oh you may see some similarities if you have keen observation like me.
