Hullo, hullo. Well, what's there to say? Its a site about anime, so I suppose that's a good topic.

I started enjoying anime the way many otakus/Japanophiles of my (our?) generation did. By that I mean waking up at four a.m. to catch Dragonball Z episodes back when they were on Fox; scouring video stores, pawn shops and rental joints for VHS tapes that might give you a coherent story despite the fact they had volumes 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8. Rushing home after school to catch Gundam Wing or Ronin Warriors, cursing the broadcast schedule and the time zone you live in.

Those were the days, man. No, but seriously, things have improved dramatically in the past decade when it comes to TV crossing the cultural and national borders.
