Hah! You didn't have to tell me that. I go on reddit and that's pretty much what I keep seeing everyday. It's weird that I keep going back there. Raving about your favorite show is fun, but when it gets too excessive (which happens there, constantly) it gets pretty annoying.
I started watching anime when I was 8, so I'd say it's been 10 years now. It's only been recently that I started appreciating the medium and looking at it critically, however. So if I had a definite answer, I'd say it's only been 4 years.
I was actually one of those people who didn't want OPM to have an anime adaptation because I was skeptical with how much animation can keep up with the artwork from the manga. It was one of the best things I've ever read, story and visual-wise, and I didn't want it to be tarnished by the anime's potentially bad reputation. But fortunately Madhouse was able to do justice to the series.
In any case that you check out OPM and you finally have a strong opinion from watching it, tell me about it. I'd love to know what you think after watching it.
Ah, I was thinking that I have to watch the first Utawarerumono no matter what even though it isn't mandatory. It kinda makes me lazy. I've seen screenshots though and it seems like a fun show in general, so I'll have to check it out in between my back-logs.
"it SEEMS like the gimmick of the show would get boring really fast."
Well, there's your problem. You haven't even gotten through an entire episode yet, much less than the usual three-episode rule. Asking me whether it's worth a watch would be useless since I'm extremely biased about OPM (I've been a fan of it when the manga only had about 15 chapters, about 2 years ago). All I can say is that when something is generally well-liked by people, it's pretty silly to ask whether it's worth checking out or not at this point. There's usually a reason why most people love it, and it's something that you should find out yourself by watching it, not by asking other people. There's always the possibility where you would like something else about the show other than what the others are raving about, or what others like simply isn't likeable for you.
I've been slacking on seasonal shows recently, so I've only been following One Punch Man, Owarimonogatari, Rakudai Kishi, and Shomin sample. All off which are my top picks since those are the only ones I stuck with. I'm probably going to catch up on Noragami Aragoto and GochiUsa2 since I like marathoning them.
Also, which show are you talking about that I skipped? I feel like you mistyped your comment. lol
It's been a while so I don't really remember. :P It's probably because you have Mayo Chiki and TLR on your favorites, which is quite rare. I'm a fan of both series as well, so there's that.
I got the codes for the title hover-zoom from here and just kinda built it up from there. I know nothing about CSS coding, but this was somehow really easy to make and it payed off real nice.
