I prefer manga over anime, in most cases. I don't really like to read either, but there are just way more good manga than anime. I saw some of AssClass while the anime was airing but that's about it. HxH is awesome. My favorite shonen is Fullmetal Alchemist, followed closely by One Piece and Rurouni Kenshin, but HxH is a very strong fourth

A few things. One, Boku no Hero. It really is one of my favorite more recent shonen. Though why did you put Psyren on hold? It's a modern classic, so I definitely recommend you finish it. It might not be that good at first, but around volume 3 or 4 it picks up. More importantly: Hunter x Hunter! I've been reading the manga recently, and it's just as good as I remember it, back when I first watched the anime. I see you just finished it. Chimera Ant was definitely my favorite arc, and Meruem my favorite character. The final episodes of CA are some of my favorite in all of anime, as the tone becomes more and more desperate, and the clock feels like it's ticking towards an end that doesn't work out for anyone. I thought it would lose it's effect the second time around, but not even close. Immediate thoughts on the show/ending?
