I'm definitely getting more curious about Gundam as a whole story after hearing you talk about this stuff. While I want to go down the canon route, other ones seem to catch my eye. Now the one I feel like checking out next is Gundam Seed, which I guess is another spin-off. Did you like that one? Either way, I'll have them all under my belt eventually :P
Okay I'm glad I didn't miss something there, especially given how evident it was that it was forced. I was half-expecting a scenario where she actually knew about Heero through her father or something like that, but didn't reveal it until the end for a twist. I think the multiple political factions aspect is interesting in various ways. Like you said, you have the opportunity to view all sides and see where everyone's values lie. Ultimately, it comes down to who the better fighters are and whose convictions are strongest, which makes for a good watch more often than not. Wing feels like it won't be the strongest entry, but it's still good, and I'm sure there's various other ones that nail it.
Wing has been good so far. I had no idea what to expect, but warring military factions with a third party caught in the middle certainly makes for an interesting time. The only thing I might say is that the main female lead has zero motivation to feel romantic towards Heero. He tries to kill her twice, but for whatever reason, she's into him? Just seems a bit silly, but that aside, I do like her well enough. I think I'll probably enjoy the rest of it at this rate, but I'll hold my complete thoughts until the end.
I see, that's a pretty underhanded system, especially given a lot of otaku will be diehard collectors and spend until they get what they want. Thankfully those games are at least decent enough to make things fair. Hopefully most people would be able to see how those systems operate and avoid them, but if they're like the US, microtransactions will affect them just as badly...
Sorry to hear things have been a bit rough, keep hanging in there :) Oh cool, I'm glad you enjoyed that one! It was the main thing I kept thinking about while playing the game, so I just decided to make a joke about it, and seems a lot of people agree haha. Seems you're quite the Gundam veteran (and currently the only person I know that's actually seen any of them in general). I'd always intended to check them out, but I kept forgetting or getting distracted by other stuff. Recently, a site I buy from a lot just announced a limited edition box set of Gundam Wing coming out in a few months, and I thought about watching it to see if I should buy it :P
You're good, the box is still sitting here next to me on my desk, so it's hangin' in there. I don't mind though, I'll leave it to you whenever things come together on your end :) I've been good though, somewhat of a work-a-holic now. I head to my overnight job, then come home and work on art, so my sleep schedule is pretty odd. My animation is starting to get a bit of traction online though, so that's pretty cool. Hoping to make that my full-time job in the near future, but still gotta keep grinding. What've you been up to?
Gimme recs den m8 ;3
Love the other fanservice tho.
