How I rate things:
10 - I can't think of anything I would do to make it better.
9 - I like this very much and would recommend it.
8 - I like this very much.
7 - I like this.
etc.
Sure, the Kizu trilogy was originally after Bake, so go ahead - I think it's one of the best entries in the series, it tells one of the most interesting stories as well + the animation / visual style is really incredible, not to speak of the soundtrack, which has this unique jazz-style (?) to it!
Ah cool, you actually already finished Bakemonogatari! I also think it's one of the best series I've ever experienced. Both Shaft and Nisioisin did an incredible job at adapting/writing the story. If you enjoyed the anime, chances are high you'll also enjoy the novels if you ever wanna read them. You can currently get the first (reprinted) and second season books as Box Sets on Amazon for a pretty okay-ish price, in case you wanna check it out! :)
Anyway, next for you now is either Kizumonogatari movie trilogy (which is one of the last releases in the adaptation since it was delayed - so it has a really different style compared to Bake), or Nisemonogatari (if you wanna stick with broadcast order).
Steins;Gate is great man, I think it's really hard to find negative aspects about it. The Monogatari Series on the other hand (which I really enjoyed), is more of a hit or miss for many people though . I really like Shaft's unique animation/direction style as well as Nisioisin's banter-writing there :)
Yep that's true, it was a good ending to a great series. I think it's better to leave it at that though - you know how many series get worse when they get sequels after they're already "done"... BUT, we will still be getting an OVA for the third season and there is still the possiblity of something "new", since there was recently an announcement of some "new project" - we'll have to wait though.
So, what're you up to next now? Finishing Oregairu left me kinda sad for a few days to be honest :^(
Glad to hear man! Also nice to meet you :P
I really liked Sakura-sou, it was also among one of the earlier shows I watched in anime, similar to Toradora. By the way, I see you've started watching Oregairu as well. I wouldn't compare it to Toradora, but (as you might have seen on my profile) I also really took that series to heart. The characters, art style and opening/ending songs (especially the ones by Nagi Yanagi) are fantastic. Hope you may enjoy it as well ;)
Sadly there isn't really anything too similar to Toradora out there (I seriously enjoyed that series as well haha), but the closest things you might get are probably:
- Lovely Complex (really similar story and cute character dynamics)
- Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo (similar tone, has some nice messages/themes, same studio)
- Golden Time (same studio and original author, some character/story similarities, the amnesia part was a bit annoying at times for me though, but maybe you'll like it a bit more)
Lemme know what you think, I'd be glad to share thoughts/opinions ^^
