Hitoribocchi meets Zombieland Saga, and they want to make a rock band, but don't know how, so we follow them into their journey of becoming a succesfull rock stars.
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a nice slice of life comedy in the same style of the previously mentioned series, revolving around the life of a antisocial girl becoming the new guitarist of a rock band, in the need to fulfill her dream of becoming a rock star, focusing its themes into exploring her relationship with her band's members, while her antisocial behavior collides with her social needs as she experiences several social events she wasnt used
...
to, all that filled with a overreaction comedy style that fits very well with the show.
Its not as much about the music, but about her feelings, her relationship with the band and the hardships she will encounters and must surpass to accomplish her dreams. A very funny, interesting and somewhat deep comedy show to watch.

*Edited for better context and clarity*
Danmachi season 4 suffers from something that i will call "The main protagonist won't die" problem, that by it self isn't exactly a problem, unless you try to create situations where the MP's life is being threatened in some way, because as we the audience know, he can't die, he's the one who gives the name to the series, whom the entire world revolves around, so it's not about if he will die or not, is that he won't die, he can't die otherwise there is no more series.
Season 4 is entirely built over things specifically threatening Bell's life, and
...
sometimes threatening his friends and family's lives, but specifically because we know he wont die, we can't fear at all for his life, we can only expect for someone close to him to die, and that affecting him, but that doesn't even happen. For such kind of history, that is such a miss of opportunity, to use a situation that would threaten his friends to build and develop Bell's character growth, specially considering the previous events.
In an ideal scenario, we could assume bell got careless with fame and leveling up, leading to such dark situation of danger involving a friend or family member, leading to losing someone and Bell needing to deal with the consequences. Instead we got a walking tour through deeper levels of the dungeon, with looming threats that aren't a threat, because bell can't die, and the only gripe we have is if he can keep Ryuu secure while searching for an exit.
This is such a waste of the Berserker plot, the threat it would pose, and Ryuu story getting diminished due to the way the story is told. Also, that's isn't even the only problem with this season, the second one being nothing in this ties or revolves around thing feeding bell's growth and development, this feels like a side story made into a main story. It strongly reminded me of the movie plot, with some more development. Actually, it would've fitted better as a movie then a proper season 4, to how unrelated to bell everything happening here is.
All the motivation of this season lays with Ryuu, her past, her vengeance saga, nothing related to Bell, until he just shows up at the wrong time, and wrong place. That's why this feels like a Ryuu side story turn into a Bell main plot line, that doesn't have any tie to Bell other than him getting accidentally involved, because of his relationship with Ryuu, something that doesn't even help the case for this being a main line story, as it only builds up on Ryuu's reasoning and responsibility for her own decisions and the consequences of her enraged acts.
Other than that, it was nothing out of the ordinary for Danmachi, it just didn't felt like a mainline thing, and that it was just poorly put together to justify extra content

I don't know what to think about this season, in some aspects it feels underwhelming in comparison to the previous seasons, lacking some of the impact and spectacle, tho it still maintains some resemblance of the "Overlord formula", it's just some specific points on the way they decided to handle the approach that brought it to a lower level than the ones before.
In comparison, the serious, dramatic and tense moments still have the same feeling, tho they feel a lot shorter, with the goofier unfunny moments feeling more shoehorned in and prevalent than before, sometimes falling in the same category as the so called "marvel
...
humor" scenes, with a serious scene sequence being broken by a bad out of place joke dragged for too long.
It also affects some of NPCs, being that most of the e goofy unfunny moments are started and maintained by their overreaction, the constant enacting they do to please Ains make it feels they are constantly getting out of character, just to insert some unfunny joke moment. They were somewhat like that in the previous seasons, but again, it wasn't as much prevalent. Some times it feels like their entire persona revolves around the goofy character enacting.
Most of the battles and scenes also lack that level of premeditation and strategy before the battle, tho i would say the series kinda abandoned this aspect somewhere after season 2. I hoped they would bring some o it back, but it seems the went fully invested in the more into the face type of storytelling and direction. It doesn't help when most of the scenes i felt more investment didn't lasted as long as i would want, prematurely ending without some proper development, feeling kinda rushed.
At least some aspects of the behind the scenes schemes and machinations it's still present and happening, tho its feels weird how in the same show you have such extremes of superficiality vs complexity opposing each other depending on the story topic being focused, the main theme at least receiving attention, aka the Kingdom one, tho it wouldn't have hurted if the had gave some of the same treatment to the others archs, other than the superficial "he goes there and its everything done because my power's omnipotent"
Maybe my expectations were just too high a season with such long hiatus, but i feel it could've received a little bit more attention, or maybe i'm just delusional with what i've imagined it could've been
Edit: better context and reasoning

Pathology expert dies from overwork and gets isekaied into a magical world, where he becomes basically the god of medicine, creates drugs from thin air and identifies any illness just by looking at people and throwing random illness names, until he finds the correct one. Isn't a comedy, nor a deep complex or intriguing show, just weak, generic and superficial, to the point it doest even bother with exploring its own themes.
I dont think you can even say that this explores the topic of medicine, from how dumbed down and shallow it depicts and approaches it, being summed into basically using some medical and pathology
...
related names, and once and then mentioning a very basic summary of some illness story. But if you remove the doctor background, you get a generic isekai with an OP MC that solves anything and everything by its own, without any major real threat to him or anyone else around him.
The characters are shallow generic stereotypes, with no real personality or purpose out of just being an excuse to fill the world and give a reason for the MC progression, that its also non existent. The story is poorly written and not that well developed, nothing being done by the MC pays off or feel deserved, the reasons motivations for other character's deeds werent clear, and were just poorly elaborated, the antagonists didnt go far from just being the generic greed stereotype. Everyone just do the binding of the MC, despite he just being a literal child, that some people know its a god, and there is no high stakes when god is solving every problem for you.
I was expecting something at least akin of the Ascendance of a Bookworm, or maybe in the same level as Thermae Romae Novae, or any other show that at least really tried to depict and describes the raw process of doing things in the past, but not even a somewhat engaging story i got. Its just a boring inexpressive and uninspired piece that don't even bother into engaging its own proposed themes.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 can be summed into: This movie could have been cut in half and would actually end up better.
It is simply filled with slow boring scenes that dont do that well of a job of telling the backstory of what's happening. Overused flashbacks, extended "explanation" and repetitive dialog, all of that is what makes the first hour of this movie painful to watch. At the same it doesnt tell enough about the MC story and his progression do justify how he got that powerfull near the end, the time jumps and character development simply doesnt fell natural, and when it
...
reachs the end, even after all that gorgeous battle, it doesnt fell like it had paid off.
I dont understand what exactelly were they aiming for with the way this movie was made, if they were trying to get a new audience while also pleasing old fans, they just did a bad job, because as a starting point this movie is simply a somewhat bad and boring experience, and while the midle to the end section is better overall, it simply wasnt good enough to justify what was done. The movie simply isnt in the same level as the anime

Finally a SAO show that is well written and well paced, and more specifically without relying on the "God Kirito" thing to do and solve everything on its own. He still exists, and still is very strong and powerful, but now, everything feels well done, maybe even better than the original, especially without the constant feeling that everything was being distorted to fit with the God Kirito narrative, and finally making the characters, the story and world feels more real, more believable, while also maintaining the usual high standards of animation and sound effect, with the best part being obviously the fight choreographies. Seems to
...
be a very promising change in the way they worked on it, and also gives high hopes for the continuation

Romeo and Juliet, but with 2 girls, one human, the other a vampire, both trying to flee from the burdens of expectation, put on their shoulders by their respective families/races, in a world drowned in war.
Both of them meet each other on amidst of a conflict, trying to flee from themselves and each other's chaos, then being forced to travel together, they start to learning from each other's lifes, knowing each other and starting to appreciate the peacefulness of a free life, far from the encumbrances of war or bigotry, while they try to bring back the life of song and love of music
...
into a silent sad world, searching for a paradise.
Its a good and interesting show, focused on developing the relationship between the two main protagonist, while also showing effects of a war on the daily lives of commom people and vampires, that mostly just want to live their lifes.
Most characters are well written, with clear motivations, evn tough some are implicit, none of them fall completelly flat, but some of them could have received a little bit more attention, and others could have just received less time, but overall they are all well done.

"Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road" is a action based isekai, were a youg girl is incumbered of killing gifted people who were isekaied into her world, before they could possibly do something that would destroy the world. Until somene unnusual appears, forcing her to rethink her ways to solve the problem, this while several twists and secrets were happening behind the scenes
Story wise, it seens very promissing, with a interesting plotline mistery being built, good pacing, nice world building of a pos-isekaid people influenced world, well writen characters, everything being well done on its own time.
Animation wise, it could have received a little bit more
...
of love, specially in the special effects area, with the magicle particles that appears in battles looking too cheap and not that well animated, still its already much better than most isekais we see around
Seens to be a very interesting and promissing show, with lots of pottential revelations and plot twists comming on, but it also still leaves a fealinbg of not being good enough

"Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu" is basically "All Routes Leads to Doom", but with a male protagonist reincarnated as an NPC.
The story revolves around a guy who gets isekaied into a Otome Game's magical world and sees himself being forced to use his knowledge about the game to deal with the problems being thrown at him.
Its mostly simplistic and generic, following a adventure comedy style, being very weak in the comedy aspect, but having a somewhat interesting mystery and a kinda relatable protagonist.
The world building also sounds interesting, being similar to Knights and Magic concept of mechas on a
...
medieval world, but with less depth put into it.
What holds it up mostly as something different, is the unusual Mecha Battles in a Otome Game, but we still have to see how good they will be.
At least for now, sounds like a nice show to pass the time, but nothing deep or revolutionary, or that i would rewatch later

Thermae Romae Novae could be literally be described as the "Thermas Isekai". If you take the exact formula from "Isekai Izakaya: Koto Aitheria no Izakaya Nobu" and change the subject from Restaurant to Thermas, this is the result you will get.
It's very simplistic, the story only exist to justify the job being done, its not deep, but also not bad, being followed with a nice "overeaction" style of comedy, with each episode making things a little bit more elaborated.
In the same way as Izakaya Nobu, at the end of each episode you also have a short documentary telling interesting things about Thermas and its
...
story, what inspired the author.
The only criticism i have towards this show are the following:
-> The mix between 2D and 3D art style, that as always, it's just ugly. The 2D art style is decent, but the 3D one, is just ugly and poorly made. At least this isn't a fighting show, so it doesnt matter that much.
-> It have a constant orange/coffee like colored filter, maybe to fit the Ancient Roman Thermas theme, but sometimes it just feels weird, almost feeling like everything is dirty, but maybe this is just a personal pick of mine.
-> The character have some weird design choices, their face expressions are just too small and subtle, almost being non existent, if not for the constant change in voice tone to enhance them, they could have done something more expressive.
At the end, it's a good, interesting and relatively funny show, a much needed change in the usual Isekai Formula we are all fed up, especially considering this is coming from from a Netflix.
