I felt that the length was satisfactory for the story that it was trying to tell. Sorry if you didn't particularly enjoy Annarasumanara.I didn't see an abundance of things that I've read which I figured on glance that you would really like. I do hope you enjoy Solanin.

Thanks! XDD Well technically it's two season just the second one being aired as split cour instead of straight away 20 episode. Even then the last one is made into a movie instead. So it's like, first season, then Hihamukage ova, Zoku Shou, Odoro no Machi (which is Zoku Shou ep 11 and 12 combine together as special), Zoku Shou 2nd season, then Suzu no Shizuku movie, which is actually the last season's last 2 ep combine together, like Odoro no Machi before.

...looking at it like that makes it long welp. Still it's worth it! And you can definitely take your time with them lol.

Glad to hear that then! Yeah, even the anime staff is the same iirc. I don't watch either Gundam or Macross F so I can't really comment on that; tho Sidonia hardly classify as mecha? Like I don't think the focus is more on that rather than the setting..sorry about that welp. YASSSS MISSION ACCOMPLISHED I mean Mushishi is really really good! I get it, like sometimes there are stuff I know I want to watch and put in PTW but when there's time I go and find other stuff instead lol. For starters I go with Mushishi and Natsume Yuujinchou, which are high in my all time favorite list (Natsume also got 5th season coming this Fall, while Mushishi had finally finished in its entirety last year). If you're in the mood for something sci-fi there's Ghost in The Shell; you can start with the original movie to get the feel for it, or just proceed with the tv series Stand Alone Complex and 2nd gig. If you can handle 3d animation there's Sidonia no Kishi (also sci-fi tho). Other than that I saw there's Durarara!! in your PTW so you might want to try Baccano from the same author; which is to me at least, better animated plot-wise in terms of writing. Maybe any of these will strike your fancy? Sorry this is a massive comment welp

I hope so too lol. Nah I don't think I'll marathon them all at once; need to find FSN and Haibane first (pretty sure I have Nichijou in my HD lol). It's fine! One of the reason I join the challenge (aside from the obvious attempt to clear some backlog) is to try a lot of different stuff for a change, so I say it's kinda mission accomplished for a bit? Haha!

Thanks for the fate universe breakdown! I watched a bit of FSN 2006 like, a milion years ago so I got like a gist of how it goes. I often saw Haibane Reimei in people's top anime list and Nichijou omg thank you for reminding me of that one! I'll choose from any of the 3 for the challenge, tho this might be the very opportunity to watch them all (had I have the time of course).
