Ha ha, that's probably true. They can also be used to show how a character's personality changes over time. The best example of that can be seen in Saya no Uta.
I know right? Whenever I go to Youtube and watch eroge openings there are always a bunch of people talking about how it's "way to cute to be a hentai" and how they "can't believe there are sex scenes in something so cute." I wish people would be more open minded about that kind of stuff; all the non-nukige I've played are less than 5% porn, and the ero scenes are only for the intent of deepening bonds.
Have you played Kara no Shoujo and/or Saya no Uta? Those two are my favorites.

Visual novels ehhh? Ive only played a few damnit cause they are all so expensive! Ive ordered school days Hq ill have to play that when I return from Chicago. Played and finished ever girl in katawa shoujo and started up on higurashi.
