Thorfinn is the worst aspect of Vinland Saga. Obviously, I haven't read the manga, but he was genuinely one of the worst most annoying main characters I've seen in any anime. The show was carried by Askeladd.

Most comedies work better in manga format. The humor in Spy x Family is like half as funny in the anime. One Piece, Prison School, and Gintama are examples of anime adaptations that adapt comedy well, because the voice actors and directors know how to deliver the jokes and amplify them
Chainsaw Man could've been the best produced anime ever if the Shaft team behind Kizumonogatari adapted it in that style
Roof Piece anime peaks are better animated than Chainsaw Man, they are more stylized, artistic, and visually exciting, instead of MAPPA's fluid but boring animation with flat boring colors and no experimental angles
Attack on Titan should've stayed a black and white, humanity vs the enemy, good vs evil type story. The superficial nuance and depth Isayama tried to force in ruined one of the manga's best aspects, that being its ability to make the reader root for the heroes and the RAGE factor in humanity's assault, without this the series just lost a whole lot of enjoyability especially because there were no real characters to stand behind, relate to, or invest in (except Hange, best character)
Isayama has seen Game of Thrones and it came as no surprise seeing how much he tried to dickride the wave of "different shades of grey, no black and white" narrative that that show popularized
Most anime that try to insert European aesthetics into their worlds fail miserably and it just ends up being cringe. Bleach and Monster are prime examples. Why does everyone in Monster have a hooked nose? Only Spy x Family does the German setting well, because none of it makes sense and it's ironic. No one in Germany is named Loid Forger
