I started watching this anime as soon as it was coming out and I stopped watching it, after some years, now that the world is gladly doing a lot better (at least for most people) I rewatched it and remembered the exact reason as to why I stopped watching it in the first place.

As someone who tends to watch football and other sports, this anime turned out to be great! I generally don’t enjoy sports anime that much because they tend to fall on the very anime-ish side of it, for example: Inazuma Eleven where there are literal powers mixed with football. Throws me out of the loop a bit.
The story accompanies a group of unpolished gems of talent who partake in a sort of experimental training ground to train the next striker that will make the Japanese National Team go to new heights. So, the big hyped-up anime, Chainsaw Man. I’ve rated it one star above the rating I gave on the manga simply because the adaptation was well done, considering that I didn’t even think this would get an animation or if it did, it would be a clunky CGI one like Ajin or other animes that I won’t name. If you like anthology horror series this is definitely your cup of tea!
Without giving away much of the main story (which accompanies little Yuuma and his life) nor the "side stories" aka the stories the kid tells us about, it's a really good anthology horror series. What mostly makes me generally have a distaste for anthology horror be it in manga, anime, webtoons, tv shows, or whatever, is the fact that the stories are disembodied, there's nothing linking them, which I know is natural of anthology series but it's something that just doesn't click with me. This is truly a masterpiece. I'd advise anyone to read it. The way it just delves into the religious aspect, the way the characters are so smartly built and how human they are. Usually, in these sorts of "revengeful" sort of stories the characters, all of them are very dead set on doing what they intend to do with no questioning but not in this story. Art is truly beautiful, character-building the same, even the secondary characters have structure, bones and flesh. I honestly recommend everybody to read this! It's definitely worth your time and it isn't that long.

Man, this anime left me bitter. It started out with an actually good premise, the first 2-3 episodes were pretty enjoyable and I was actually surprised because you're used to seeing well... what you see in the anime industry when it comes to adults and high school girls. It felt refreshing at first, but then it just became stale. I felt like I watched the same episode over and over again. The characters lacked life. Oh boy, you look at the front of this book and once you chest-deep into the manga you realize that you really SHOULD NEVER judge a book by its cover. It has a HUGE plot twist and it's great honestly. It's captivating in the sense that it's so disturbing that you can't stop reading. It's the same as if you're witnessing a horrible tragedy happen and you don't wanna look but you can't stop yourself from doing so. I've been reading the webtoon "Tower of God" for some years now and one of my biggest fears and I bet that fear is also shared by many fans of the webtoon, is that t wouldn't satisfy us. But it did not disappoint. I'm not used to seeing this kind of art style, it isn't ugly by any means but I'm just not used to it so I thought it would be a barrier... Turns out it wasn't! As a person who is studying psychology and studied Freud and his theories about the unconscious world, it was really interesting to see the surge of Id: Invaded. The concept of being able to get inside such a personal space for everyone that even our brains hide from our conscientious being is such an interesting premise for a story. I felt like the plot was kinda rushed maybe because the author regretted their choices and ended up ending it earlier than expected?
