I love Crayon Days! And yes again my review contains 70% of what I felt while reading this and the rest 30% is on the technical side. So there, don't go all judgy on me coz this review is coated with bias on how I felt. Haha.
The story technically isn't that much of a wow but the feels it gave me was ooh. Shima, the main female character is a countryside girl who went to an art school in Tokyo. The countryside bumpkin Shima (as common as every other manga with this back story) was treated like a country bumpkin she is. She then stumbled
...
into a painting Saji the main male character who as usual is the school heart throb genius. From there the story moves where they both clash on most occasions, the countryside talent less bumpkin Shima versus the kill-me-now-gorgeous genius Saji. It's like Natsume Hyuuga and Mikan Sakura feels from Gakuen Alice but a little bit more mature (just a little bit at first though haha)
The art was awesome! I instantly fell in love with Saji and I like Shima! The characters are likeable and not at all annoying. Most of shoujo mangas' heroines annoy the hell out of me but Shima did not. I do not love her nor do I curse her to death so that says a lot for me. She's strong and not someone who needs constant reassurances which I hate on typical no brainer shoujo manga heroines. On the other hand, what I like on Saji aside from him being a gorgeous genius painter is that when he wanted someone, he sticks to it. I hate hate hate male protagonists who is always confused about what he truly feels when there is an annoying third girl involved especially from their effin past. I mean c'mon get over the girl already. Anyway Saji is in no way like that so that's what makes him the star in my eyes! Haha.
The scenes though typical still makes me go weeee and the ending was great. No cliffhangers or whatnot. The story delivered what I need during the time that I'm searching for something that could make me excited with love again and it did manage the trick somehow. So kudos!

This review mostly contains how I felt while reading this manga. I didn't write much about what the stories are about since there isn't really that much to tell coz all of them are one shots. Haha.
First Story: The Lie Becomes Love Under the Moon
Lame. The story was a collection of puking trigger lame dialogues. I mean c'mon when the main guy introduced himself it was something like "I am Shade Avantine, I am the fearsome alchemist you vampires call the demon Earl of Garland" I was like, uhmmm dude, you being fearsome instantly vanished the moment you said you're fearsome. Heaven's bells! No fearsome
...
character would say I am the fearsome blabla it's so lame. And don't even get me started with the heroine. A super naive bordering on being so stupid kinda personality. There is a fine line between a character who believes in the goodness of people and someone who is just plain stupid you can trick her into killing herself. I'm not even sure why the title is that coz huh? I don't know where the title is in anyway reflected in the story. Plot wise I don't like anything about the first story but the art is great so there's that.
Second Story: The Bride and the Prince
The second story is connected to the first but unlike the first story which almost made me wanna kill someone, this one is so cute! I like it! It's simple and not really that great yes, but Prince Arnaud and Princess Cristina are just so cute. The plot was average but everything is just so much better than the first. Prince Arnaud (the first story heroine's younger brother) is charming and Princess Cristina is so likeable! I know that this is a one shot story so falling in love with each other should be fast paced but unlike the first one which happened in a very lameass way this one is enough to not raise my brow. Haha.
Third Story: The Beautiful Lady and the Vampire
As all stories are connected from different timelines, this one happens a few generations after the first and second story. Princess Josette, a quarter of a vampire is the grand daughter of the second story protagonists Prince Arnaud and Princess Cristina. Josette or Josie for short wants to marry for love and have a love story same as her grand parents which found love with each other. As she searches for her love she stumbled upon a girl named Stella and everything follows after that. Haha. See? I cannot even write the plot coz it will reveal the whole story. Nevertheless it is not a yuri or shoujo ai story so you can guess now that Stella turns out to be a guy named Eric and of course in the end as everything in this whole series ends, they end up together. The story is okay and Josette is likeable and not at all annoying.
I blame that all the stories in here are formatted as one shots MAYBE that is why there's very limited story the mangaka can write. But huhu I know it is not an excuse. One shot stories can be better than this! Nevertheless it did not annoy the crap out of me (except for the first one) so I guess all in all I can say that I recommend it to anyone who just wants to pass the time and besides the art is great. Just a little warning: DO NOT EXPECT MUCH. It's okay I'll give you that but it is not something I'm gonna crave and read again like ever. It is just a one shot for just a one time read.

Oh my! I was just trying to pass time when I stumbled upon Jigoku no Enra and boy I am so happy that I did click that little devil icon that brought me to this devilish awesome manga! Haha. Okay okay, that was kinda over the top compliment considering I've only read til chapter 11 and haven't even finished this yet but hey that says a lot as to how good it is for me. Haha.
The story started when the King of Hell, Yama, made a test out of his succession for his children to participate by eliminating as many names as possible in a
...
scroll which contains names (obviously duh. haha) of the sinners or 'future' sinners. Whichever child of his who can eliminate the most names will be then crowned the new ruler of Hell or the new Yama. Enra the second child of Yama who is by the way the male protagonist of the story dragged Takamura Komachi (the female protagonist) to hell as her name is on the scroll. Problem is Komachi is not just any regular damsel in distress, Komachi is a kind person and has a high sense of what is right and wrong being brought up by a lawyer and public prosecutor parents, thus cannot just simply accept her fate and therefore challenges Enra that Yama and his scroll is wrong. Enra then tried to make her see her future sin but cannot show it for some mysterious reason hence solidfying Komachi's belief that he is wrong. That's where the story starts to roll. Haha
Anyway enough about the plot, the story is just so uuuuuggggggh in a very very good way! The story is not really that special but the way the mangaka wrote it was so gripping and so so so I dunno what but it makes me feel really good and *sigh* I so want Enra and I so want his brothers haha! Komachi isn't bad either she's so likeable and not at all annoying unlike most justice oriented female protagonist in other shoujo mangas which most of the time ends up getting in the way or making it worse.
Don't even get me started to how the art is! Oh my! They are DEVILISHLY HANDSOME! The characters are all wow. Just wow. Hahaha! I sound really stupid back there but the best way to describe the art especially the guys are either WOW or WOWZA!
If you want to read a really really good manga that is not too over complicated with just enough mystery going on in the mix then this is perfect for you. I actually highly recommend this to anyone!
PS: If I'm gonna be drag to hell I might as well be dragged by Enra by the mouth bitten in tongue as well. HAHAHAHA!

Amnesia. Oh well, how do i say it. I was actually disappointed with the pilot episode and the next after that. It is an adaptation of an otome game with the same title. I was expecting this anime since it is a reverse harem type and it turns out to be a downer. First the story, it is about a girl who has an amnesia who sees a flying kind of fairy meet demon like boy named Orion who claims to be a spirit from another world who accidentally stumbled upon her spirit that caused him to be trapped in her soul and thus caused
...
the amnesia. That Orion character was designed like those fairies from shugo chara but more cuter and bishounen type and that's what makes it confusing cause I do not know what the character was trying to pull off.
The protagonist herself was not impressive she's boring and her character is so soft spoken that you can't feel any spark of spontaneity or even life out of her character like someone whose very uninterested. She lacks life. She doesn't even seem to panic waking up not having memories and not even knowing her name. On top of that she doesn't even seem to be shocked seeing a floating boy that only she can see and hear. I mean what the hell!? She just goes with the flow and listens to what Orion tells her to do. She's passive and uninteresting like she doesn't have a goal or even a purpose whatsoever. She also kind of collapse in every opportunity she gets. Haha. I mean just because you have an amnesia doesn't mean you have to collapse every freakin time.
The bishies surrounding her were all but hands down handsome and they all work at a maid/host cafe. They're eyes were designed with two colors which is somehow interesting. The four bishies represents the four suits of cards, the heart, spade, diamond and clover. I thought at first that this is some kind of servant like where the four boys protect the girl with some power since they represent the suits like in hiiro no kakera and fushigi yuugi but turns out the representation of card suits doesn't seem to relate in anyway. I don't know in the future maybe they will, but so far the magic kind of protecting thing is out of the picture.
The costume designs of the characters were like emo rockstars meet loli like ripped shirts and too many belts, frilly laces and the likes. I know you won't expect much on reverse harem genre but it's not like you can't make it interesting at the very least. The overall setting was kind of gloomy and personally for me depressing. I don't know it just give that sort of vibes. Well as of now it doesn't give me a reason to continue but i'll still try until i reached episode 5 then I'll drop it if it will still be boring as hell. The handsome guys can't compensate the depressed feeling I get afterwards the end of the episode. I'm really hoping against hope that it will turn out okay.
Anyway, on the positive side there are kind a lot of "romantic" scenes that as a girl you might want boys to do that with you like they like and care for you so much kind of thing. The unexpected kisses and the catching you when you tripped kind of thing. So if you're just into that feel good romantic kind and doesn't care much about the personality of the characters and the story then you might give it a try maybe you'll like it but I suggest you move to other animes that will make your viewing time well spent.

I was looking for a “cool” new animé a year ago, when I stumbled into Canaan, and thank God it’s cool since during that time I was really looking forward to the good animés. Canaan is about the title itself since the protagonist is Canaan herself. I can’t follow the story at first since it’s a bit “what was happening?” and then after two or more episodes you’ll get it. The number one thing I don’t like is Maria since she’s the kind of character too typical, a damsel in distress who almost have no likable traits aside from being a good friend who sticks
...
with you no matter what but aside from that she’s stupid, weak, dependent, and not cute nor pretty at all. Since the cutest would be Canaan and the prettiest would be Alphard. Every hateful detail in the animé were compensated by Alphard LOLXD I wish Canaan and Alphard just be guys and not girls since they really look cool and HOT in a manly way. I do believe this has a bit of a shoujo ai hint in it, though it is not the main thing you’ll see when you watch it because most of your attention would be on those awesome fight scenes. I think the characters namely Canaan and Alphard really portray a guy because that’s the feel you’ll get when you watch it; it’s just that they were drawn as girls for the intention of having that shoujo ai feel. Another plus point for me is the fact that Maaya Sakamoto the one who sang the OP song for this animé is the seiyuu of one of the characters (Alphard); I really love her as a guy coz that’s how I see her, haha and I also like Canaan as a guy to she reminds me of Allen Walker of D.Gray-man though they’re not similar at all. Overall it’s an animé that would be really good to watch.

This would be my first ever review so please bear with me haha:D
Nurarihyon is a manga adapted by Studio DEEN. It’s like a combination of Katekyo Hitman Reborn with an Inuyasha infused yokai theme and more. The story is great, even though it’s quite normal being an heir (involuntarily) and fighting of others that want to get your position, too much proving (with regards to your worth as an heir) and those entire allegiances thing with the other characters (value of friendship and trust) and a pretty obvious love interest since the girl the
...
protagonist likes looks like her mom with an addition of slightly harem effect with regards to girls liking the protagonist Rikuo, despite all of that I still dig the story. I can’t seem to think of a wow twist in the story YET but like I said it’s still a great animé. It’s refreshing and a sort of stress relief everyday animé, the kind of animé you would love to watch after a heavy day that would make you feel normal again, also when you don’t like those awesome yet problematic and complicate animés that will give you another headache. Another thing is that even if sometimes you know that there’s nothing that much exciting on the next episode you would still want to watch more of it.
The opening themes by monkey majik are AWESOME and the fight scenes too are great. The ending songs are cute because of the chibi version of the three main female lead, Yuki Onna, Kana and Yura singing and dancing to the ending songs. The character designs have those HUGE eyes; I know most animés do have big eyes but theirs are way too big at first you would be like whoa! But after a while you’ll get used to it and some characters still look pretty and some boys (yokai boys since there aren’t much “normal” boys to begin with) are HOT like the male lead, night rikuo himself the yokais (which aren’t on human form) ranges from ugly weird to cute weird but not too scary at all. It’s a must animé that I hope will go main stream.

Blassreiter (sigh), I almost gave up on this one. I was actually looking forward to it when I saw the trailer because the effect was good like an online game, but haven’t had the chance to watch it. Then when I had the time I was disappointed. I really expect something from this, but when I watch it I have this heavy feeling that I can’t explain like a burden so I dropped it. Well the story was good and kinda like a resident evil with all those virus thingy that will make you
...
a demon and make you lose your sense but the twists in the story doesn’t seem to have that twisty effect on me.
The fight scenes are good though the blood and gore of killing just doesn’t go well with their appearance when they transform into their demon selves; they look more of those sentai masked riders which I found very humorous. Even if I wish to laugh about their appearance the scenes have this always heavy atmosphere so I can’t. The characters are good and all for me are likable even the bad guys. The female characters are pretty and the males’ ranges from ugly to hot. The female lead, Amanda is great and isn’t like the stereotype characters with a sexy body and mash for brains. The one I really like is the male lead Joseph because he’s HOT, though he’s unsociable, stoic and nonchalant type of coolness is very common. I really want them to end up together as a compensation for the pain they gave me, though I know this isn’t a shoujo animé and there isn’t that much to hope for about that, still I wish with all my heart to have that romance feel at least. I’m not actually expecting a romance in this animé at first but after a while I just begin to wish for it as a form of salvation for this animé. Plus the ending is I don’t know a very big " JUST WHAT THE HELL DID THAT MEAN?!" They’re there but they’re not, are they a program or are there really a fantasy in there? Like another world or a magical thing that binds them. I began to rethink what genre this should be because it’s a sci-fi but the ending is not sci-fi-ish at all it’s more of like a fantasy power fiction. Oh well good thing I finished it already if you wanna watch it be prepared for an alternative animé so that when you feel you can’t take it just switch to another.
