Shounen and seinen manga enthusiast

- Anime vs manga: I prefer manga as a medium even though I watch quite a lot more anime than I read manga. It's hard for me to find more favourite anime to list than I already have, whereas I have quite a few more to list for manga - manga just tend to touch me more I guess.

- Genres: My favourites are comedy, action and fantasy but I try to dabble in a variety of genres. Quite picky about how I rate my slice-of-life and romance reads/watches - most of the times they are either over the top cliched and bore me to hell or beautifully written and inspiring. Not a fan of sci-fi or mecha but I try my best if the reviews look good and I find the synopsis interesting.

- Rating: My ratings are mostly based on enjoyment unless I'm writing a review which is when I'll think really carefully about each criteria. I tend to enjoy character-driven stories more than plot-driven stories; and my perception of enjoyment (mostly) depends heavily on whether I like the main characters.

Thank you so much for the anime recommendations. To tell you the truth I was supposed to check Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens after it finished airing but I forgot. Thank you for reminding me. It was great. As for Wotakoi, I was curious so thanks again for the push. It turned out to be way better than I thought. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for the manga recs! I finished Uchi no Maou Kamimasen yo and Machida-kun no Sekai and I really liked them both. Haven't gotten around to Kimetsu no Yaiba yet, but I'm sure it'll be great too xD
But yeah, thanks again for the recs!

Hey! Thanks for your Secret Santa suggestions! I've actually had Samurai Champloo on my radar for some time, but there just seems to be more pressing matters every time I choose a new show to watch. It may be not soon but eventually I believe I'll get to it. On the other hand, I've started Beck, as it's far more unlike anything I've seen so far. I'm still at the 'slow start' part and sometimes it truly seems that Koyuki should just move on and join the band already (though he's terrible at handling guitars). On the other hand the band side of the story seems very realistic and Maho steadily continues to grow on me. Animation at times seems to be done by Paint (and Koyuki's best friend looks like he's in his 50s), but the music (although I'm not the biggest hip-hop fan) rectifies that. It looks like it's going to be an enjoyable (or at least very unique) ride. So thanks a lot again!

Nice Steins;Gate review, i somewhat understand how you feel about Okabe, as i used to feel the same way about the guy. But it's not entirely the anime's fault since in the source material (Visual Novel to be precise) we get to know more about what's on his mind, how he make and what affects the decision, and therefore somewhat sympathize with him.

Most of the time, time limit is one of the biggest hindrance to anime production so they had to cut off quite a lot of detail compared to the source. But anime is anime, Visual novel is visual novel, it can't really justify for the anime's flaws so i also gave it a 7. If you got time give the VN a try, it's really a bomb.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
