Set in similar looking time period, bot are action fantasy with some supernatural elements. One has fairies, the other has vampires and angry puppies.

Both are fluffy bubblegum isekai fantasy with OP nice guy protagonist. The way they do "diplomacy" and "politics" is so simplified and it just works out easily that kinda breaks suspension of disbelief. Slime has better story, Smarthphone has harem.

Both are great love stories and both focus a lot on personal growth. Some of the side characters are similar but the story itself isn`t. But I believe if you liked one, you will like other.

Mood is similar, these anime aren`t overly dramatic, but you can see even little things can have big meaning for those who feel strongly about those involved. Watching these is a great way to get you up from gloom and make you feel better by the power of niceness.
