Binge Reader and Watcher who really hates the process of beginning to read and/or watch a series. Open to anything but ecchi. All manga I pick up end up never being from my "Plan To Read and Watch" list. Very into politics, philosophy, and music. Favorites reflect personal impact more than quality over other works. I don't go out of my way to watch bad shows or manga so almost all my scores are a 6 or above.

True, but it definitely has happened before.
It's a relatively fast read, that's a factor, too. Sometimes you'll get a 70-chapter manga but it's got 50 pages per chapter and is full of text so it ends up taking two times longer to read than a 100-chapter one. So the rule has always been iffy, to say the least.
But perhaps it's for the best.
