Hello, MyAnimeList! Nice to meet you!
I'd like to give a little backstory. If you are interested, you may continue.
I found the existence of anime while on the famous social-networking site, Facebook. I had stumbled upon a picture depicting the anime Death Note. I was curious and decided to look up this "Death Note" and found the episodes for free on Hulu. To make the story short, I watched all the episodes in the period of 3 days. Ever since then, I've been daring enough to look for new animes and enjoying all of the time spent watching them. Anime, personally, is way better than any kind of American TV shows today. And it is great to know that most of the people who have signed up for this site have mutual feelings.
If anyone wants to add me as a friend, or chat about anime/manga, go ahead! I'm always up for meeting new people.

»Type of animes l am interested in« (Sorry, I don't know all of the terms)
· Action-filled and suspensful- This could be animes such as Code Geass and Katekyo Hitman Reborn
· Thrillers or Horror- Animes such as Shiki
· Mind-bogglers- Such as Phi Brain and Death Note
· Sometimes Romantic- Such as Amnesia
· Yaoi, or BL
· Comedies (but with a stable plot)- Such as Senyuu
· Boy leads (reason explained below)- Such as pretty much all the animes I've watched
»Type of animes I am not interested in«
· Most animes with a girl as a lead. I don't know why, but they get on my nerves.
· Bad or little-to-no-effort on the artwork.
· Same goes for the plot.
· Uncharacteristically annoying characters.
· Bad voice-acting (which is a rarity)
I guess I'm a pretty picky person, haha.

Haha yeah, I'm watching just airing stuff for now; too busy for anything else! At least I'm not working anymore :P
Feels like just yesterday that I was a 9th grader...believe me, time flies. I am more than ready to get out of my house :) Just running 1 forum and a member of the rest—you should join mine!
9th grade wasn't too bad for me haha it'll only get harder, so enjoy this while you can. Good to hear that you made some friends though :) Still watching anime?
I'm doing alright, just finishing up my senior year of high school. Got the last of my college applications in yesterday, so now it's just the waiting period & procrastinating with work. Also been crazy busy being active on like 7 forums at once and running my own anime forum.
Loool well, the series just started airing dubbed, so we have another two years of it, but it'll end in Japan in another month or so.
Yeah, same. I'm going to miss the change in seasons, especially the September and April/May weather up north :/ What are technical & agricultural schools? lol never heard of that kind of thing for a middle or high school.
Haha I thought you were going into 7th or something :P Trust me, you don't want to go to highschool. I'm in 11th & starting a new school is pretty hard junior year.
I know! Like $10 for something I'll read in 15-20 minutes lol
Same here, except I like yuri ;D Oh, nice...I've only been reading it for about a year & a half. Yeah, those manga covers for Absolute Boyfriend. Even at my age, my mom would be like "0.o" if she saw it. I know, but I have under 150 chapters to go...I'll get there eventually haha ;)
Oh, how's Yu Yu Hakusho? Yeah, it's pretty original actually, although the series is just ending in Japan after 2 years. I really like the art style myself & the dubbed version isn't too bad :)
Haha yeah, it's hot all year round here, sadly. I don't think it's just high school down here, I think school just starts early because it's the south >.< What grade are you going into? Yep. I think there are a couple Comic Cons or something, but the closest is in NYC.
Ahaha sweet...I should check some of the discount bookstores around here, since Barnes and Noble is pretty expensive when it comes to manga. I'll be honest... I love a good shoujo romance lol. I prefer more of the action stuff with anime, & the romance with manga :) When did you first start reading manga? Lol I've seen Absolute Boyfriend everywhere, but I'm not too inclined to read it.
Well thank you! Yeah, I have to ask for them though, since everyone likes to get me clothes for birthdays & Christmas. Bleach is awesome...I'm hoping to get caught up on it completely sometime soon.
I love Love Lab personally, just because I like lighthearted anime like that & I think one of the guys who worked on Yuru Yuri (another of my comedy favorites) is working in LL. I'd check it out, though it might not be your style.
Oh, just started B-Daman with the first episode in dub this morning and loving it! It seems to have a more mature animation style despite being for a show for kids; I'd check it out!
Aww I still don't get why they didn't like Connecticon lol my friend really wants to go to Comic Con too, but I'll have to check & see if I have school. I know the NYC one is in October this year, but maybe I can go in 2014. Oh true...there wasn't much in terms of comics at Connecticon. Nice! Which YGO volumes do you have?
Ahaha Death Note is awesome, never read Pandora Hearts, & I don't know many of the others, but... Absolute Boyfriend? xD lololol why do you have that?
Aside from Skip Beat, I have like 8 volumes of Nana, 2 volumes of Code Geass, 2 volumes of Btooom, 3 volumes of Vampire Knight, and a few random volumes of manga I like that I got on discount. Probably going to get 7 volumes of Bleach with the Barnes & Noble giftcard I got for my birthday too :)
I started actively reading Skip Beat around May or June of 2012, but I didn't get completely caught up until a few months ago lol
Haha I will! Hopefully I can get caught up on it soon. I'm worried I'll never be able to get into the card game, especially since it's so expensive to keep up with.
Oh, definitely...we can go shop for manga haha ;) I moved to FL, but maybe next summer. You should go to Connecticon again! If you get the weekend pass, you could chill with my friend & I if we meet up :) I might try to go to Anime Boston since I think I'll be out of school by then, but my friend & I were also talking about going to Comic Con next year, so we'll see. I don't think my parents would let me go to more than a couple :P
Lol yeah, I really need to rewatch them. You haven't seen Return of the King?
Wow, that's a lot since you're so young! What manga do you have?
I love Skip Beat :D It's one of my favorite series...I mean, you saw my Kyoko cosplay lol
Aww... we really should have hung out more. Too bad we were in the middle of the tournament. Maybe next year we can go around & I'll convince you to get something ;P I like some sci-fi stuff, but I was mostly set on anime & cartoons...I got the best Otaku T-shirt at Connecticon haha
I watched LotR on VCR too, lol. I haven't seen the movies in years (aside from The Hobbit), but I love them :) I should rewatch the series too...
You should!! Gotta save up for the next con :P Hmmm...I just counted & I have 50, not including my 3-in-1 books. 31 of them are Skip Beat though, since that's one of my favorite series :)
Lol I'm up to episode 4 I think, but it's pretty boring so far. I'm watching it with a friend, but she's at camp so I can't watch episode 5 yet.
Ohh I just started watching Yu Gi Oh this week & I love it so far! My friend & I might participate in the YGO tournament next year at Connecticon :)
Yeah, they still haven't processed that tournament, but I'm excited to see my new rank. Lol how tall are you? I'm 5'7.
Nice!! I really want to go to Anime Boston next year...I wish there had been more anime booths & events at Connecticon, since I'm not really into Sci Fi or games as much (I did get a pretty cool ring from LotR though ;)) Oh my god, I know. I was in line for over an hour!
Ahaha cute :) & yesss I worked for a month to earn it. I regret nothing ;) I just want to collect it for my manga library
lmao oh sure, you were just curious ;) Same here...my friend & I saw the PV back in March & it looked pretty cool. Original animation just means that it wasn't based off of a light novel, manga, or game. It's entirely original.
Why'd you like Anime Boston better? I haven't been to any other cons so I can't compare, but I thought it was awesome. I bunch of people came up to my friend & I & took pictures & gave us random hugs, which was pretty cool. Apparently our cosplay was pretty unique since it's so hard to cosplay shoujo :) I bought a shitload of stuff though...spent $400 on posters, plushies, dvds, & MANGA. (I bought like 13 volumes lol)
Ahaha oh Free... I remember when the PV came out. It was a Tumblr sensation; I'm only watching it because I'm curious to see how good this will really be (it's an original animation). So far, it's pretty bad lol
