Yeah. You're pretty much right. A lot has happened since the last time I logged on. I cleared both my Law exams and CS exams. So I officially finished my formal education/academics. Not only that, but as alluded to, I did get my interview result. It was positive. I was accepted and I started doing my CS training. So in addition to finishing my academics, I ended up landing my first ever job as well. And you can probably guess why I haven't replied for so long. My work timings are from 9:30.am to 7:30 pm. And I need an hour or so to commute each way so I leave the house at 8:30 am in the morning and only get back at 8:30 pm/9 pm at night. It's relentless. I have weekends off but I had a lot of trouble settling in initially. The long working hours certainly take a toll. And with the commuting, it's extremely exhausting. I still suffer back pains due to extensive sitting and what not but anyway, I've somewhat gotten used to it by now. I started working on July 23rd. I got my CS Professional results on August 25th so as per Institute records, my training is only considered from 30th August onwards. So I've got to do this training till the 30th of August next year. And after that, I'll officially get my CS Membership and I can then go for a full employment somewhere else. This training period will be rigorous though.
Thank you. In my place, it's already 8:25 am in the morning so you're right on time. Appreciate the wishes. I hope I can get off work early. No way I'll be able to do much more than that.
Thanks, and my short was basically about a scientist attempting to escape a research facility after a virus turns most of her co-workers into cannibalistic mutants as well as avoiding a government cleanup crew assigned to eliminate all the evidence of the accident. We were assigned to do shorts which could work as video game opening cinematics so I decided to do a survival horror one in the vein of Resident Evil or Dead Space.
Ah, admittedly I know very little about bio but I'm sure something will turn up. The best advice I can give you is to be as assertive as possible when looking for potential careers. The internet can be a useful tool in that regard.
Anime conventions are the absolute best. The ones here in Cape Town are relatively small compared to those in the States and Europe but are fun nonetheless. They're a brilliant way to make friends and find local businesses. That being said, they can be absolute murder on the wallets of even the most frugal attendees.
Yeah man it's been a minute. Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been particularly active here as of late.
I've been good. Directed my second short film last term and I'm really happy with how it turned out for the most part. Spent most of the holiday cooped up at home though and am now two weeks into my third term. The fact that I'm halfway through my degree is kinda eerie. It's odd how quickly time flies.
That's great to hear. Glad that you liked it so much. Funnily enough, I have yet to finish it myself. I have watched 5 episodes but I really did think it was quality and a couple of my friends loved it as well which is why I threw in the recommendation. It's the only one I listed which I had personally not finished. Looking forward to finishing it sometime soon. Now have a third positive opinion.
You definitely ought to. Don't overburden yourself and think of too many things. Just let loose and let life run its course for a bit.
You're Welcome. Hope you like them. I'm awaiting it as well and yeah, fit some watching into your schedule. I'll try to reply to your PM by tomorrow.
Hey! You guessed right (even if the pic and the fact that it's on my favorites is a giant hint to my love for this show). It's such a fantastic "adventure" and rollercoaster of emotions. And as a guy who just graduated high school, I did adventure myself to U.S & India with my friends. But I also did wish I could enjoy my youth more like these 4 girls. It's just relatable and the drama hits me really hard.
Well, thanks to MAL being functional only on a skeletal level, I can't look at what you've actually watched and not but here's a few series that I've liked a lot in recent seasons:-
-Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou
-Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
-A Place Further Than the Universe
-Sound Euphonium
-Shirobako
-91 Days
-Sangatsu no Lion
-Tsuki Ga Kirei
-Yuru Camp
-Boku no Hero Academia
-Megalobox
-Hisone no Masotan
-Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashi
This should do for now. I'll suggest more once you get through these or if you want something different. Made in Abyss was awesome and is getting a second season so you'll have more to watch. I've listed a diverse set of series so pick whichever suits your fancy. I've listed them in no particular order. Made sure to include shows that aired in the last 3 years.
It was basically a short romcom about two students who are lost and unable to find their lecture venue. The two end up, quite literally, bumping into each other and they decide to skip the lecture and hang out instead. The film ends with the guy asking the girl out. It's a very basic two and a half minute film but planning it took months lol.
Film's definitely a fulfilling and interesting subject but since you're still uncertain about what you're planning on doing I'd recommend weighing your options very carefully.
I've been doing well. Started film school in February and it's been a damn good year thus far. The lecturers are engaging for the most part, my peers are a great bunch and I got to direct a short film last semester, which was one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done. I've been on holiday these past few weeks but will be going back on Monday.

It is! It is Sans from Undertale. It's a random fanart I found online, and I really like his character (as well as the others) so yeah :D
Haha XD In that case, I recommend Aoi Bungaku Series. ^^

For the last three months, Megalobox has been my last updated entry on MAL. I pretty much agree with your thoughts.
You're Welcome. I had to reply when you did the same in such a heartfelt manner.

Hopefully MAL won't be restricted for too long XD

But as for recs, what type of series (genre, length, etc) are you looking for? Depending on that, I'll suggest a few.
