I hate the idea of describing my personality for...quite a few reasons actually (ask me why if you want - it's too long/probably uninteresting to put here). I would rather have others form their opinions of me based on my actions and/or their interactions with me. So I will only give 'objective' information here:
Height: 6'
Weight: 160-165 lbs
MBTI: INFJ
Interests: Tennis, health/fitness, meditation, osu, Starcraft: Brood War, League of Legends
My tennis style: Lefty, one-handed backhand, baseliner (tending toward aggressive) with emphasis on sharp/precise angles as well as frequent changes of direction based on what I think my opponent wants/expects me to hit.
I'm not too articulate, but number ratings alone can't convey the way I rate anime. And honestly tiers can't either after the top 5. I will be adding my thoughts to my MAL list soon (maybe), but for now:
Ping Pong: the Animation
-Negligible gap-
Monster
-Distinct gap-
Tatami Galaxy
Hunter X Hunter (though on its own the Chimera Ant Arc is the peak of anything I have ever seen)
Kaiba
FMA: Brotherhood?
Not a problem! I just wanted to play it safe and not mention anything spoilery on you. TBH with you, I think the quality of the show kinda dropped after the first season and some of the soundtracks used in season one were not present at all in the following seasons >_<
Yah, overall I think Monster was a great show with a great villain to boot and we get to see that progression and character development thru out the show which was really well done in my opinion :P I just didn't like the constant bickering over Johan tho.
Alright, I'll add that show into my PTW list then :>
Oof ok, but yah definitely check out No Game No life has it has a great soundtrack and so many references to different games if your a gamer that just hits that sweet spot oof <3
Oof good thing I stopped myself there then I didn't want to spoil details about Mikado, Kida and Anri from the next two seasons, but you should definitely at least watch them to get a better feel on how the 3-way relationship hold between them holds and develops. However, I do fall in line with the commenters that I personally think that the first season of the series was the best one in the way it handled each character arc, with the music in line and just for me the plain art style of the show is what really left a lasting impression on me :>
Okie dokey, just letting people know since I am having a hard time trying to respond to all my comments within a timely manner and I generally dislike giving half-assed responses to people :P
Ah you seen Monster! YES! Another Monster fan! How you liked the how fiasco with Johan? I kinda found it really annoying at some points in the show with the constant back and forth in catching up to him especially between Nina and Tenma? As for Ping Pong, I actually haven't seen too many sport animus if at all. Maybe tho? I recall something don't quote me on it! >_< It depends on what you like, but if you really in the mood for some really good anime, I probably recommend you watch Death Note, Code Geass and No Game No Life for starters. These shows are generally masterpieces for me as they just so enjoyable, lovable, in-depth and just really really good! Definitely worth the watch!
I been meaning to read some of the side stories as well as some of them help to elaborate and expand on certain characters and time laspes between books, however am more interested in finishing up the main two sagas and the grand conclusion first before jumping into that. I would also like to read how the first bugger war started and see how this whole mess began in the first place.
Mmmmm.... that was something that didn't really cross my mind. I was kinda thinking that Mikado was the main character at the very start, but each episode did present, highlight and followed characters for each one and then helps to build upon and intermingle those relationships in the next two seasons. Idk this show has a special place in my heart as I think we can all relate to Mikado as someone who lives a very boring lifestyle when compared to Kida and Anri that brought him to the city life in the first place where in real life as adults we live a very mudane and monotonous lifestyle of work, family and sleep that sometimes we crave the small exciting things in life similar to how Mikado desires excitement and change to the norms against society. Just my two cents I guess I don't want to go into detail if you haven't watch all three seasons :P
Yah, Is okie about the message as I do reply to them just as long its not weird or anything and I'll be happy to chat woth you some more if you want and I am kinda generally slow with replies as well so just an fyi.
I know right! <3 I am still currently reading thru the Shadow saga atm. I am excited to see how both stories intertwine at the end of the series! :D
Durarara just had that special knack of the city life that I always craved, but the music and the characters are what really make the show unique and funny that it gives me a sense of suaveness and I just love Shizuo for how actually calm and caring he can be later when he meets a certain character :P
Oh no worries about the random messages! Am actually happy you reached out and send a PM to me ^_^ If you wanna chat some more, I'll be more than happy! :D
