The anime is funny and have charismatic characters, a great production and beautiful scenes.
The best thing in the anime is the characters, they gonna make you watch until the end, have some "mysteries" about the past, but isn't a great contribution to the anime., the biggest point here is the comedy and how the characters react to each other. Don't have a big characters contruction (just a little) but the characters fby himselfs are cool. The biggest fall of the anime is when he tries to be serious, cause he can't, YOU can't see that story and really get serious, mainly because the Deus Ex Machina ...

It's impressive that in so many years, still the most fun anime that I ever watched.
I'ts bizaree, it's strange and shows the most purely comedy. The production of KyoAnimation helps a lot to make the scenes more ishocking, what is awesome, cause is shocking to be a joke. At all the animation makes the anime something fluid, and you laugh and laugh with the stranges situations. The anime is just about the daily of a school, but the situations and how the characters react to them is what makes funny. Moe animes gonna ruin the anime industry, I hear a lot of this in this last years, but I still expect that the "moe" wave is just a tendency to attract consumers and that don't matter to make a anime good or bad. Blend S it's a example of that, the anime have a lot of "moe" and "ecchi" but that doesn't affect the anime at all.

Some episodes have more ups then downs just like the opposite. What I recommend to do is marathon, the anime have four arcs, so if you see one at a time you probably gonna have a good experience. I don't have claims about story, art, sound or characters. I think Subaru is one of the most humans characters, he fails, he's not perfect, he tries to be "The Guy" but he's not and the anime show this cleanly. At the same time is good to see how he grows up over time, have sometimes this is gonna be extremely boring, ...

This is one anime that I can describe like "It's funny".
It's really funny. Looks like just another generical comedy anime about a college club, but the comedy and how the anime follows works very good. Don't have a great history, I don't like when he tries to be serious, because the best thing here is the comedy. I know, I constaintly talking about the comedy, but is the only thing that caught on the anime. The quality of animation is awesome, I think this is the most beautiful art make by Bones and one of the best in all animes. Congratulations for studio Bones, they make a greatful job in all technical criterias.
All characters have a indescribable charisma, this is worth to Atsushi Ohkubo (manga autor) that makes the work so great. This is one of the best enjoyment in a shounen anime that I've seen, the comedy, the actions scenes and the story works perfectly at least until episode 30-33 when the fillers started. All KyoAnimation animes has a great quality in the art, soundproofing and fluency, but Hyouka for me is the best in this senses.
The story is very simple, a lazy (and very clever) guy being dragged to solve mysteries by a girl's stubbornness. That's all the anime needs to be a good story. Off course, isn't just about it, have a little dose of comedy and a good romance. The way certain scenes were directed enhance the work, for example when Chitanda and Houtarou met for the first time. A work with a lot of potential, but that was thrown in the trash by working a protagonist without charisma, deaths without purpose, a heroine who does things without meaning only to show how a yandere is (the fact of being mentally disturbed only shows how the author don't know how to work a character) and a climax that ends up leaving something to be desired.
I don't saying thats a bad work, but isn't too good yet. Impresses a lot when you are starting to watch animes and it's a good start, but you will find better works. It's a 5 (5.5).

The technicall quality is excellent (thaks KyoAnimation), the dubbing and beauty of the caracters, the right point of jokes, the "fights scenes" who humiliates many shounens around here and the construction of striking scenes.
It's funny mainly when you watch and think "Oh God, I've Chu2 when I was young", not just for that, but the anime is really funny, i think that once a time you gonna laugh with Rinka or Dekomori.
