Now do you remember? Who you are? What you were meant to do? I cheated death, thanks to you. And thanks to you I've left my mark. You have too - you've written your own history. You're your own man. I'm Big Boss, and you are too... No... He's the two of us. Together. Where we are today? We built it. This story - this "legend" - it's ours. We can change the world - and with it, the future. I am you, and you are me. Carry that with you, wherever you go. Thank you... my friend. From here on out, you're Big Boss.
of course I plan on reading berserk, I consider it a masterpiece even though I'm only caught up to the Golden Age Arc. I'd put it on hold as I wanted to binge it when it finished, but now that that won't happen, I don't have any reason to not read it.
It was good, but was way too boring and badly paced for me to properly enjoy it. I didn't really care about much of the characters, and it felt really cheap when the author decided it was high time for the audience to sympathise with a character who had no redeeming qualities beforehand (Punpun's Mom). It felt like the author was saying, "his mom is dying and now she regrets things so she's a good person now. Now, feel sad for her"
The whole Good Vibrations thing went nowhere and made no sense in hindsight. The characters are not really as realistic as people say they are. Children don't threaten each other by saying "I'll kill you if you leave me"....
The above and many more issues compounded and the whole thing felt underwhelming
