Ep 8 of Haikyuu was great as well. LOL at this rate this might end up being my favourite season (of course that might change in the summer). Even Kinoshita had some development this season lol. Dateko's Kogane is also such a pure soul, a best boy candidate for sure. The bestest boy is still Yamaguchi tho. People keep complaining about the art and the animation of the new season but tbh I'm perfectly fine with it. Okay, I'll blame the author for the birdy's ugly spikes.
By the way, I see you removed Haikyuu from your favourites list. Ouch lol.
Dorohedoro hasn't failed to amaze me so far. Each episode has been great. I especially love the mushroom FPS game ending. Every character in Dorohedoro is amazing but who is your favourite. For me, I guess I like Shin and Noi duo the most.
I think I won't watch Evangelion anytime soon because I already have too many on my hand. After I finish HxH (which I love, by the way) I plan to watch Gintama and that will take some time with all these seasonals I'm watching. I even put One Piece on hold. Also, it will take some time for the new movie to come out, probably not until next year.
I have a love-hate relationship with JJBA. For one, I absolutely love how bizarre it is. I also like the unique art and character designs (I'm especially in love with Morioh). While Araki excels at those, he kinda sucks at story writing, as his stories are always full of plot holes (called "Araki forgot" by the JoJo fandom). I also hate episodic show where there is that "villain of the week" concept (the reason I disliked the first half of Kimetsu no Yaiba). And since Part 3 heavily revolves around that concept, I struggled to finish it to be honest lol. So to enjoy JoJo to the fullest, you first need to take your brain out and watch 1-2 episodes at a time and then spend some time in the discussions (or r/ShitPostCrusaders if you don't mind spoilers). I really love JoJo's fandom. Oh, and I've heard that Part 7 is actually awesome and since the story is set in an alternative universe I'll probably read that while waiting for part 6 to be animated.
PunPun was on my PTR list for some time and after seeing it in your favourites I though I should give it a try. It is, to put it simply, messed up. I wasn't expecting it to be this dark and depressing. And man, even though the art is beautiful, it is also hella creepy. Adults are creepy, the god is extra creepy. And I certainly wasn't expecting PunPun to be raped by his uncle's gf. Tf? I'm traumatised lol.
I read manga on my phone, I have 3-4 manga apps downloaded, like mangareader and mangabird and I usually use those. I watch anime on either kissanime or 9anime (whoever uploads first gets my views). Of course, I use customised ublock to disable all ads and pop-ups, otherwise it would be unbearable. I have netflix but its subtitles suck and other legal anime providers suck in Europe. So I always sail the seven seas. I tried using torrent a few times but I found it too much work (or I suck at it idk) so I prefer streaming. I download my movies, though. How about you?
It looks like there is still some hope for me to get into Grad school. The professors were really cool me about missing a lot of stuff but need to make up for everything in like the next couple of weeks along with taking shittons of midterms. Also, you quoting Eren's "FIGHT FIGHT" motivated me, so thanks for that.
I will start the HnK from the beginning. I usually prefer reading manga from the start with only Haikyuu and HxH being an exception as they already adapted 100's of chapters. It is concerning that we haven't heard anything about S2 from Orange. Hopefully, we get some news after Beastars S2.
Reading VS yearly is a good plan. I'm going to do that as well. I w started watching Ping Pong the animation. I'm four episodes in, and I can understand we people praise Yuasa so much. The visual presentation and direction have been top-notch so far. We will watch Tatami Galaxy after this. I'm somewhat sick of seeing shows about high-schoolers, so TG being about a college student is intriguing.
Also, I have read up to 70 chapters in Berserk, and I have to say the character writing for Griffith is perfection. Absolutely loving everything about him and his dynamic with Guts. My only problem so far is that I hate Casca, and I don't care for her. I'm not saying that she is poorly written, but I find everything about her repulsive and annoying.
Mate, I'm so happy to Eva and Shinji being at the top of your favs. I absolutely love that anime. To me, EoE is the greatest movie ever made. What are your overall thoughts on the series and the movie? Who are your fav characters? Mine is Asuka, Misato & Shinji.
Also, what did you think of the Yoshiwara in flames arc? I have seen a lot of people praise it highly, but I always felt that it is a 7/10 at best.
Yeah, by animation I was talking about art. It seems off sometimes but otherwise, the animation is actually really good. Especially in the latest episode. Oh, speaking of the latest episode, it was once again really really good, and very funny. The first half of this season focused more on Hinata's growth but it's focusing more on Kageyama this time, and I love it. This episode also showed that Kageyama needs Hinata just as much as Hinata needs him. It was amazing. Oh, and Asahi is an angel.
I also disliked the bird's high jump spike, to be honest. And the animation studio is to blame. It probably was the ugliest spike I've ever seen in Haikyuu, maybe on par with Mad Dog's ugly spikes and jump serves.
Noragami's OVA was fine but Aragoto's OVA was much better. I didn't see it in your anime list. Did you watch it?
I said it last time, I'm saying it again. Dorohedoro has AWESOME characters and an actually spooky world, which is very unusual for an anime. I would call its world design the best this season, but Somali and the Forest Spirit also excels in that area, maybe even more than Dorohedoro. As a bonus, Dorohedoro has a great voice acting cast.
I see why you love Evangelion so much. A lot of people love it. Some of my trustworthy friends here (I mean I trust their taste in anime) love it, and it seems like we also have very similar tastes, so there's no doubt I will at least like it if not love it. But I'll probably love it lol even though I'm not a fan of old anime art. I guess the mecha tag does The thing is, there are tons of things I'm watching right now so I don't know when will I find time to watch Evangelion. I'm watching too many seasonals this time but I enjoy all of them so I have no intention of dropping any. There are also a lot of great (hopefully) anime this upcoming spring. What do you think of its movies?
I see you have been watching JoJo Part 4? It's my favourite part and Kira is one of my all-time favourite villains. What do you think of it so far? And I see you entirely skipped part 3 lol.
