Noragami

Both series focus on characters involved in the supernatural world and take a "monster of the week" approach (though Noragami is more action-centric compared to Natsume Yuujinchou which is more character-centric).

Sakura-gari
add

Though Sakura Gari is often seen as yaoi alone, the heart of the story is actually very much centered on psychological abuse and its after-effects, and no other story treats such an issue better than the manga Lament of the Lamb. Both stories also spotlight forbidden relationships and show just how damaging they can be. Though these manga have despicable, flawed casts, there is a touch of hope to both stories, even in the darkness of the characters' situations and actions.

Fruits Basket

Despite its sweetness and comedic aspects, Fruits Basket contained many melancholy moments -- and Air TV is much the same. Add to the fact that both series contain unexpected supernatural aspects, and I can guarantee that viewers who enjoyed Fruits Basket will likely come away loving Air TV.

Kimi ni Todoke
add

For anyone who loved the slice-of-life sweetness to be found in Fruits Basket, Kimi ni Todoke is definitely a must-watch. Both series spotlight the necessity for companionship, kindness, and empathy as well as showcasing strong friendships and slow-building romantic relationships. Hopefully, Sawako will draw you into her world and experiences just as Tohru did for you in Fruits Basket.
