I remember when I was in high school I got about 2/3 of the way through a school library copy of the Hobbit and somehow I lost the book and didn't even notice and then one day months later we were on our way to class and I randomly found the exact same copy sitting on the path to our room so I picked it up but could never convince myself to keep reading it as I had forgotten a lot of things including what page I was on and it was fairly big so I just never bothered with it.
I feel sorry for anyone who watched the anime before playing the game as it would ruin the whole experience.
Do you mean My Hero is close to that level of popularity or close to ending?
I like thrillers, did you have a bit of a break from it and that's why you are re-reading the first part?
I am thinking about it but your right the price is pretty high so we'll see.
I also want to buy Danganronpa on blu ray for my collection, I didn't hate it it just pales in comparison to the game.
To Your Eternity sounds very interesting, I will have to hope for an anime adaptation one day.
As fo My Hero, I am hoping it will have one piece levels of success and pump out manga forever so they can keep adapting series' for years.
What kind of novel is it, I have never heard of Kimberly McCreight.
Yeah some creators only have one masterpiece in them and then other just keep churning them out, it can be a bit of a gamble sometimes but you can usually see where certain elements of their style originated by going back through their older works.
I will look into Garden of Words and see if it's up my alley.
I am thinking of buying the Akira manga boxset although it is $290, I loved the movie and from what I have read the manga is supposed to cover a lot more ground when it comes to the story.
I also just bought Akira, Assassination Classroom season 1 part 1 and season 2 part 1, Ninja Scroll, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Himouto! Umaru-chan and Food Wars season 1 on blu ray and Mad Bull 34 on DVD.
Have you bought any manga or anime lately?
I just thought it was a bit odd, he is a very weird character almost like a sociopath.
let me know what you think if you do.
Is the Outliers a regular novel or a Japanese light novel?
What anime movies did you watch?
I think he will probably become more civil towards Deku as the series goes on, kinda like a Goku and Vegeta situation.
I actually just assumed that he would be back in the next episode or so and be one of the main characters in the series, but he just disappears and I almost forgot about him.
I loved his crazy plan to get Nagai to hate humans although I don't really understand how Nagai has strong enough feelings toward Kaito that it prevents him from becoming a human hater, as shown in the flashback told to Satou by Nagai's sister he was willing to cut contact with him with no questions asked and at such a young age, so I don't know why he has such strong feelings for him but nobody else such as his family.
I think it was at least as good if not better than season 1 so if you enjoyed it then you should be happy.
What have you been reading lately?
Durarara!! is a decent series don't get me wrong it's just how the story jumps forwards and backwards a bit, so sometimes it wasn't exactly clear to me when certain things were happening, although that could just be me being dense. haha
If you liked Yurio a lot then you would probably like Bakugou from Boku no Hero Academia then as they afe similar types of character.
JJ was definitely a standout character, he was pretty funny to watch and I would be lying if I said that it didn't make me smile when he fell apart under the pressure in the finals.
I watched through both seasons of Ajin as well as the three OVAs and I really enjoyed the series, the premise may sound like Tokyo Ghoul but it is a whole different thing altogether when you sit down and watch it.
My favorite characters would have to be Kaito and Nakano, they are both far more likable than Nagai in my opinion.
I also really like Saito because he is just suck a crazy bastard, when he first contacted Nagai I thought it was gonna be like the old guy in Tokyo Ghoul who to took Kaneki in but I was glad to see that the story wasn't that similar.
Their first fight at the research facility was pretty awesome.
Have you gotten to season 2 yet?
I will be more than happy to let you know what i think of the show when i finally get around to it. 😊
I really hate when i become interested in the premise for a show only to find out that the execution was nowhere near as good as i had hoped, it just makes me wish for the version that i had in my head going in.
yeah the Yowie stuff doesn't really appeal to me but because it wasn't too over-the-top I was able to enjoy the show just fine I haven't really talked to many of the fans of the show so far so I don't really know what they are like.
I also liked the characters, my favourites are Victor, Minami and the three skater otaku's Loop, Lutz and Axel.
Some of the songs during the skating were quite nice but I did notice like you said that a lot of the animation during the skating sequences was very choppy, and given the fact that a lot of it was reused over and over again during the skating scenes, it makes even less sense for it to be of lower quality
In the three episodes of Beelzebub that I have watched, all of the characters seem very bizarre even by anime standards, there really don't seem to be many normal characters outside of one or two so hopefully it grows on me.
I'll give you my impressions when I am further into the series as they may change completely.
Well hopefully you're able to start enjoying it again soon, if not you can give it the boot and it will give you time to watch something else on your to watch list. 😆
I'm not quite sure when I'll get around to Attack on Titan, I am catching up on Durarara!! season 3 at the moment and will probably move on to season 4 immediately after that and there are a few shorter shows that I that I want to watch first mostly just to check them off my to watch list and because some of them look really interesting Akin included.
I like mellow slice of life anime and I have enjoyed female oriented anime in the past so Starmyu will probably be OK, hopefully you heard right and the new season of Touken Ranbu is more story based so as to engage you more and entice you to want to watch the full season or at least not regret the fact that you do.
I watched Yuri on Ice last night I found it pretty good have you seen that one it's about ice skating?
I also started watching Beelzebub recently but it is a very weird show and I don't feel like binging it so I'm just watching a couple episodes here and there, I'm hoping that it grabs me soon and I will feel like binging it because it has 60 episodes.
Do you mean the second season sucked or just that you missed the episode?
I have heard a lot of people saying how good it is, but I have seen some shows get that kind of reaction that I didn't like at all.
I am hoping to enjoy it as the premise sounds interesting.
I checked through the list and I like the sound of Ajin and Danmachi, the synopsis of Ajin reminds me a bit of Tokyo Ghoul.
Star myu is a maybe but I son't think Touken Ranbu is one I will watch.
I have been umming and aahing about starting Attack on Titan for the last few days now but I think I will very soon as it looks interesting.
I haven't heard of the rest but I will check into them and see if any stand out to me, thanks for the new ideas. :)
What season 2's are you gonna watch?
