Sorry for the late response here, as I would just like to point out about the rather insinuating reply you have made to my 'opiniated' comment. Firstly, I would like to clear up the misunderstanding that I have dismissed another person with my opinion - the fact that I swept aside Alex_Neil93, the user below me, due to his utterly parochial comment that he is "The God of Japanese composing (sic)" may have been a blunt dismissal on my part, but it is in no way an unjustified opinion, but a balanced argument to dispel his myopic viewpoint. I am specifically targeting his use of the word 'god' as too extreme...and just like you, I also acknowledge many other better composers. Heck, you should know me better given that you're a hardcore Kajiura fan yourself!

Secondly, "a lot of composers have epic pieces and then sub-par pieces, the composers you linked are the same", and indeed, this is your opinion here that I may have to correct a bit. While the subsequent three that I have mentioned did at times have rather mediocre composition. (It is up to an interpretation of what is sub-par here though, for one, I am a fan of Kawai's compositions for Musekinin Kanchou Tylor while many may view as mediocre...and the exact opposite where I found some of Shin Gojira's OST pretty boring despite the acclaim Kawai received for it.) The reason for my refute here is Takemitsu...until now, his compositions are in a whole new level that I sincerely feel that there is no way we, living in the early 21st century, are worthy of critiquing his music, he was too ahead of his time and it may still be inappropriate to judge him fairly. Take 'Bryce' for instance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItHOY0xY4HM

Thirdly...I would like to thank you for the sharing of those songs. While I may have personally knew all but one of the songs you have shared (please be reluctant in attempting to challenge my familiarity in Japanese compositions, as I do study GCSE music.), It heartens me to see that you are willing to embrace much of the good parts behind Japanese music with their spectacular melange of "Jap meets West"...or hopefully not an attempt on your part to just show off the amount of anime you have already watched. Regrettably, the few compositions that you have given me are confined to a selected few of rather popular anime titles, showing your exposure to but the tip of the iceberg that is Japanese music. So let me express my gratitude for you by presenting to you a variety that is generous to what you have entitled me to.

Good job on your Natsume review, and it even made it to the anime's page. :)
