Both animes are magical girl shows that take a turn for the worse. Basically a deconstruction of the magical girl genre, meaning you won't get just your usual child-friendly show like Precure where the worse that could happen is losing a friend, we're talking about something even more darker. Both are promising magical girl shows with amazing visuals and dark undertones. Both also feature a main protagonist who want nothing more but to make others happy, and who live for the benefit of others. I promise you that if you've enjoyed either of these shows, you will enjoy the other.

While both events are set in apocalyptic worlds, both of these works focus on the concept of survival. The main difference between them is that one is about Vampires, while the other is on Zombies. However, both of them are still a very good read and I recommend it to any fan who loves action.

Friendship and water plays a very big role in this anime. The only main difference is that Nagi no Asukara is a romance, while Tsuritama just focuses on friendship mainly.

Miracle☆Train: Oedo-sen e Youkoso
add

While both series are very different from each other and have no correlation to each other, they both focus on a different character's problem each episode. To put it simply the main character for that certain episode is helped by the show's main cast in the problems they have. However, Jigoku Shoujo has a much more violent method of solving a character's problem. While Miracle Train uses sex appeal and a more peaceful or appropriate method of solving problems.

Both these anime are similar in a way of how some characters interact each other in a way. They also both feature girls transforming and fighting, however Natsuiro Drops contains much more of an innocent feel to it. Lastly, the main characters in both series has a best friend who usually just stands in the background of the fighting, but tries to support them to the best of their abilities.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira
add

To me both "High School of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead" and "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kira" are a bunch of what if's to the whole story far from their original intention. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kira, however is a type of OVA w/ multiple short stories, while HOTD Drifters of the Dead only focuses on one story. One similarity between the two is the use of fan service, however HOTD Drifters of the Dead does obviously contain a much more mature type of this fan service.
