Ah yes. Mushishi is a very good Anime. I haven't watched it in 5 years now, but I can remember it. It has a great atmosphere and some interesting storylines to it. I hope you enjoy the rest of it.

Apologies for LATE LATE response, only recently returned to MAL. I don't think I'm hard to please, I think A) it's easier to consume poor quality media as it requires less attention and brain power, B) the more media you consume, the harder it becomes to be impressed by something and C) a lot of anime is absolute garbage. I can enjoy moe and fanservice, as you mentioned, I'm a Nico Yazawa fan so clearly I have no problems with waifu culture. But a lot of anime is escapism bullcrap and doesn't expect the viewer to notice they're watching the same thing they've seen dozens of times over. Not to mention the culture surrounding seasonal watching breeds an acceptance of mediocrity. If someone only watches seasonals, their opinions/scores will be in comparison to the other airing shows and those of the recent seasons. If three seasons in a row, everything is a 5/10, when a 7.5/10 comes out, it'll seem like a 10/10 in comparison.
