lmao Grave of the Fireflies 2.0. Despite being a very similar movie, I really did enjoy this film. Grave of the Fireflies was really good, however, I feel like this movie hit me harder because it is not depressing the whole time like Grave of the Fireflies. Since it is not depressing the entire time, the shocking moments throughout the movie pack more of a punch. I also liked the characters in this movie more. This movie shows how normal lives were affected by World War 2 and seems far more relatable than Grave of the Fireflies. The pacing of the movie is really good,

Vinland Saga is an Anime that focuses on the Viking ages. This show is a fantastic view of the tragedies of war, and that one cannot escape their past. if you have not watched this show I highly recommend you start as fast as possible.
Story 9/10 - I really enjoyed watching this show, but not just for the fantastic fight scenes, or the beautiful scenery but rather the compelling story told through Thorfinn's point of view. The story is a tragic backstory on the protagonist, but it also focuses a great deal on the war itself and where the crew that Thorfinn is in fits ... |
