Owari no Seraph have demon weapons that may not mix with the user and in Akame ga Kill they have Imperial Arms. Both animes are undergoing a revolution, where there is no good guy. Nightraid are criminals, but it's because they are trying to change the world. In Owari no Seraph The Vampires are evil but that is because the Humans lead them up to be evil and the Humans are evil because they are being led up to be evil by the Vampires. Both anime make the viewer ask, is the main character a good guy? Or is he a bad guy?

Both animes have their own little harem going on. Characters in both animes do not have much of a backbone and are very indecisive. Animes begin vibrant, cute, and cuddly until they gradually get darker and the characters begin to go from best friends to enemies until they lose trust in each other. Betrayal, lying, and hiding things from each other affect the story. Both have love triangles that have characters sharing similar personality traits characters in School Days. Both have superstitions and traditions, School Days is the breakroom, the dance at the fire, and the cellphone charm. Whereas in When They Cry it is a cotton drifting festival, and Oyashira's curse. Both have characters move away in the anime. When they Cry and School Days both have two girls and one guy as the primary main characters, occasionally shifting the focus on other characters. Finally, both animes do not have one exact genre, and instead swap genres halfway through

Very gorey animes that can be watched rather quickly due to the length of episodes of Corpse Party and how short the episodes of Pupa are.

Both animes involve polygamy where the guy chooses to date the girls rather than pretend to like them. Both are comedic and do not take most things seriously. If you liked Girlfriend, Girlfriend then you'll probably like the 100 girlfriends.

Characters share similar personalities. Both go on adventures and have goals they want to achieve from the beginning of the anime to the end. Both have a large cast of characters with unique abilities. Character development plays a big part in both shows. There are many fights in both animes where, rather than the characters throwing fists they use abilities.
