Story
- This story confused me greatly at 1st. I tend not to read the smaller texts in the manga, but in this case, if you didn't read every little thing in the manga, you'd probably be lost. For me as a reader, I skim read. I read, but I skim at the same time. I did that with 'Wuthering Heights' and understood the series pretty well. And yet with 'Hakushaku to Yosei', I was confused at the end of the manga which I finished not too long ago (due to the fact that I read online and the updates are a bit slow

'Monster and Child' is a great example of a short, but sweet story. Though it's only a one shot (30 or so pages) it brought me to tears. The story really emphasized the thought of loneliness, loss and love.
The people around me are always saying how they want to love forever, to see their children grow up and to see their grandchildren and such, but all of that is futile. Things like that are emphasized in movies a lot as well and a lot of people seem to agree with it. This one shot shows you the pain. I'm having a hard time writing this review ...

------------------------------------------------ If you're reading 'Bara to Juudan' online, there's only 5 updated chapters. However, if you've read 'Vampire Knight', you can tell within the first several pages that 'Bara to Juudan' is NEARLY identical to 'Vampire Knight.' I have only been a member on MAL for 2 days, but for those who know who I am, you know I don't like anime as much as manga.
But I have to admit, I love Brotherhood. It sticks with the manga all the way through unlike the original anime. I wish people would watch this instead of the original FMA anime. They always say Brotherhood is a continuation of the original and it's just really annoying. Seriously, Brotherhood needs more credit. The plot is 100% original. I have reread the manga multiple times, hoping that my opinion would change. Since I read mangas online, I have not finished the series. But I have read through chapter 35 or so.
I really hate Misao. I'm not gonna summarize it b/c the summary is already available. But I really hate Misao. "Kyo-kun! Kyo-kun! Oh! Kyo-kun!" I swear, she really pisses me off. She's weak. I read the whole manga. I've also read A LOT of Shoujo mangas. So with the score I gave it, I based it off of what I want in a manga.
The characters were not as likeable as I had hoped. I couldn't relate to them and I just couldn't bring myself to liking them no matter how I looked at them. I didn't care for the characters at all. Even with all that crying and acting I still didn't care. But I read all 35 chapters anyways. The plot was really around acting and I only read it b/c of that. I'm familiar of mangas like ...

This story of a marriage started out really well. I loved it for a time, but as the story progressed, my love for it became nonexistent. It's not your old cliche kind of arranged marriages. The characters' back stories are interesting and heart felt in their won way. But I can't relate to the characters. Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan was a wonderful read. It's nice finding a manga like this once in a while. I read a lot of Shounen and Shoujo mangas and they don't have as deep of meaning as mangas like these ones. Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan is one of the most realistic, heart felt mangas I've ever read. I love the psychological and romantic aspect of the story. I used to love this manga so much. I was obsessed with Naruto. But after that time lapse of 3 years, everything just went downhill from there. There wasn't really a stable plot b/c Naruto and co. would always go off that line. Everything doesn't connect together well, but they do connect.
It's really hard to relate for most of the characters b/c there's really nothing to relate to. The past 20 updated [online] chapters have been a huge disappointed on my part and I wish that Kishimoto Masashi wouldn't make the manga so predictable.
