I haven't finished Paradise Kiss yet, but you can view it as a kinda worse and poorly written Nana. I appreciated the Easter eggs though, it has some Ai Yazawa and Nana references if my memory serves me right.
Nana doesn't really feel like an anime, it's like being a friend of the characters and you're watching them live their life and hardships from the sidelines. Most of the characters and their problems feel so real it's insane. Also, the anime gives you a whole adult vibe which is a thing most anime lacks (a shame really). Lastly, the character designs are pretty extraordinaire, it has a really cool punk with a mix of early 2000s Harajuku style fashion, really well put together and the songs are really emotional and are matching the personality of the singers.
What can be considered as it's bad points it's that it starts really slow then goes kinda fast.. and that the osts are kinda identical.
If you decide to check it out I'm super hyped to hear your thoughts, I really love the series.
Yeah, I know how you feel about Innocent. I like savoring things I like too.
Thanks, I'm glad it still holds up then.
But don't get me wrong, my older reviews are almost 10 years in to my anime phase, not in my early days. Still don't like em though and sometimes I dislike my newer reviews as well. It's like I have a love - hate relationship with myself lol.
Oh I just noticed Marie is in your favorites. She is a very unique character that's for sure lol. I like her design, but then again that applies to every major character's design in Innocent manga lol. You should finish it, it just ended.
You have interesting taste in general.
And yeah I'm doing ok in these times, thankfully my country didn't suffer too much from it. Hope things get better for you too.
And thanks, I don't really care for my older reviews that much though lol.
