I only rate a show once I've either completed or dropped it.
Basic Overview of my rating system:
10 = Greenwaves31 Seal of Approval. One of my favorite shows of all time and something that I would urge almost anyone to go and see as soon as possible. I already own or intend on buying this series at some point in the future regardless of the cost or how difficult it may be to get it, and I will likely view anything with this series' name attached to it no matter how stupid or bad it could potentially be. I also probably consider myself a fan of anyone attached to this series, even if they have nothing else of note under their belt. For movies, specials, and OVAs this can just mean something that stands on its own as what I would consider a masterpiece.
9 = These shows fall into two categories: Shows that mean about as much to me on a personal level as those in category 10 but have much more glaring flaws or somewhat disappointed me (usually at some later point); shows that are not perfect, but are extremely noteworthy and something that most people would probably like on some degree. These may, in some cases, be recommended over those in category 10 depending on how much the series appeals to a mainstream audience.
8 = Most likely heavily flawed, but is still immensely enjoyable or has a few elements that are done so spectacularly that it warrants a high rating in spite of those flaws. Depending on the show, these may be the least likely out of anything rated above a 6 to be recommended by me. In spite of how good parts of them may be, the flaws are glaring enough to potentially ruin them for those who watch them.
7 = Overall somewhat average and doesn't take many risks, but has one or two elements that make the experience very enjoyable. Not recommended highly, but are something perfect for watching with a group. While the flaws are obvious, they aren't important. If you know what you're getting into, give it a watch and you'll probably enjoy yourself.
6 = Slightly above average or something I consider my guilty pleasure. Doesn't stand out at all, but still contains some entertainment value. It's unlikely that I'd recommend this show to anyone, but you could do much worse. There's nothing extremely painful here, so if you want to, give it a look. At the very least, it won't hurt.
5 = Bare minimum entertainment value. Not generally recommended to anyone who isn't already a fan of the series or genre to begin with. May or may not have extremely unlikable aspects that can be overlooked, but it is difficult to do so. You could do worse, but you could do so much better. Watch only if you're really interested or you literally have nothing better to do.
4 = Easily forgettable and/or boring. Not something that will be brought up much because I'm unlikely to ever think of or remember these shows. Most commonly found in the "dropped" category.
3 = Not recommended to anyone. May have a fanbase, but it's not a fanbase I'd typically want to interact with. Usually saved from a lower rating by one or two decent elements, but still overall horrible. Don't bother.
2 = Physically painful to watch or even think about. I probably won't want to discuss this with you unless we are already close friends who want to rant about this show together.
1 = Not even worth mentioning. Forget it exists.

There, everyone in the entertainment industry has fake cat ears, because they all need to appear innocent for the fans, but off course it's the entertainment industry so.... I laughed so hard XD
