Then your migraines were most likely due to puberty, but I can't say for sure. :P

Do you not have migraines anymore? I heard from my doctor, back when I was 12 or so, tell me that it's normal for some people going through puberty to have migraines, then stop after they finish puberty. Of course, turns out mine weren't due to puberty...

Well, as a child, when I grew up, I didn't really have any serious problems. I was like any other child after the surgery and all; the only thing was that it took me longer to "learn" to not wet myself when I sleep. Of course, a few years ago, when I was searching up about my brain disorder, I learned that that could've been a symptom of my disorder, so that's why it took me so long. At least, that's what I like to believe. x) Other than that, around 12 or 13 years old, I started having those rare migraines, but they only occurred once or twice every few months. I don't think I have those migraines anymore after I started getting seizures, though (except for one or two times, but that was in the early stages).

I was born with a hole in my heart, which I got surgery for when I was 8 months old, I think. At birth, I would also sometimes stop breathing, so I had to be put on life support. Thus, I was discharged from the hospital after a long time. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with a brain disorder after getting a seizure for the first time. Before, during my teenage years, all I had were migraines of the rare type, which I think probably has to do with my bad birth. Then it worsened to include symptoms of aphasia. Around the time that I discovered that I have epilepsy, I also sometimes had strange panic attacks, and my aphasia got worse. Now, those symptoms seem to have stabilized after changing my prescription a few times. I still have pretty bad aphasia, though. Other than that, I have a naturally slightly arched back that might be the cause of me often having a sore back. I probably need a back brace to fix it.

Well, besides the one-child policy in China, I think my parents, like most other immigrants, moved to the U.S. to have the opportunity of a new start. My family was in poverty, and the conditions in China were/are very poor. Also, if they hadn't moved here, I wouldn't be alive now. I had so many health problems at birth that the medical equipment in China wouldn't have been able to save me (since my sister and I are twins, we were born prematurely--my sister was fine, though, but I was in bad condition). I still have health problems now, probably due to the bad birth, but they're not super serious.

None of my relatives other than my immediate family lives in the U.S. My sister and I are the only ones who are born in the U.S. Everyone else, including my father, mother, and brother were born in China.
