People will understand, people will tolerate, people will appreciate and, more importantly, people will laugh. If you like one of those typographical sillinesses, you won't certainly regret giving the other a shot.

Beautiful and independent girls and tanks match perfectly. Lovely and passionate girls and sidecars also match remarkably good. These two shows offer us a great sense of rivalry and different types of relationships. Awe-inspiring machines are in the background, completing the protagonist's sundry natures. Although "Girls und Panzer" is much more critically approved, "Two Car" is well worth a shot, too.

Takagi and Nishikata are literally Chiaki and Kana, the best couple of "Tsurezure Children". They're seemingly careless and comical but I think there is more to it. Both shows are funny and clever, too.

Although they may differ in many ways (colours, pace, simlplicity), these two shows ask serious existential questions about human condition in a posthuman reality.

Top class high school humor with everlastingly recurrent moments (which are always, paradoxically, the elements of surprise). Some surrealist elements. Similar moe characters (dumb one, kind one, shy one, cheeky one, etc.). Endless mines for reaction images and memes.

What can you do when you have to start a new life? How to cooperate with others when you end up in a quaint place? How does a newly formed group deal on its own with otherness and danger? What to expect and what to be afraid of? Two different shows, that seem to be very similar at the same time, will try to answer these questions.

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.
|
At first glance, they are totally different shows. However, for a broad-minded and laid-back viewer they will seem to be comparable. A human being lost and found in another, uncanny world? Check. A friendly harem (or a homologue of a harem)? Check. Problem solving skills reaching maximum? Check. Loveliness? Check. There is also a good deal of differences, but that should be enough to recommend "Kemono Friends" to "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni" fans. And vice versa.

Both anime deal with bullying, introversion and loss. Both have some fantastic elements to it. In each case there are characters who strike up difficult relationships with mysterious children. Both animations are nostalgic. They are excellent exercises of the viewer's emotional health.

It's the same safe and ultra-realistic slice of life comedy. It's the same comfy, delightful and enjoyable reading. "Akita Imokko! Ebina-chan" is not like "Himouto Umaru-chan", it's way more sedate and tranquil. Just like "Yotsubato!". Endless cuteness, too.

Fushigi Mahou Fun Fun Pharmacy

Although the concept of magic itself is different in both anime, "Fun Fun Pharmacy" and "Ojamajo Doremi" have few things in common, mainly everyday struggles of children: going to school, making and accepting new friends, solving difficult problems and dealing with their parents and siblings. Aside from the omnipresent magic, these two shows are very realistic in those selected aspects. What is more important, both of these anime are clever and their stories are thought in an intelligent way. Don't fall for simple graphics of "Fun Fun Pharmacy" and the Ojamajos! In this particular case, the content is inversely proportional to the form.
