✦Welcome!✦
Hello! I see you have found me for whatever reason, so take your time and stay a while, you may even find something new to watch while you are here.
If you are looking for somebody with in depth reviews and completely unbiased or objective scores, I am not the guy for you. Although what I am, much like my Gintama themed profile suggests, is an odd jobs kinda guy. There isn't much I dislike watching/reading. I can watch/read pretty much anything and everything so long as its entertaining or keeps me invested in story and characters.
Although I am much more of a watcher than I am a reader, I do like to get some manga or light novels read now and then.
✦Some recommendations✦
I figured dedicating a section of my bio here to recommendations was a good idea, so here are some anime that I would wholeheartedly recommend to any fan, new and old alike!
- Stens;Gate: Simply an amazing piece of storytelling which uses time travel to a unique and interesting standard. One of many shows that has hit me hard emotionally with the heavy impact of some story beats.
- Lucky☆Star: A sweet, bubbly and happy slice of life show revolving around an otaku named Konata and her friends as they go through high school
- The Monogatari series (starting with Bakemonogatari): God where do I even begin with this one. I have no way to concisely describe this series other than it is one of the most well written pieces of story telling I have seen in a very long time. The show overall is a philosophical thrill ride that will keep you interested all the way through, and still wanting more.
- Mahoutsukai no Yome or, The Ancient Magus Bride: A cute, thrilling, and interesting fantasy slice of life with some action here and there. Unique monsters, creatures and characters are to be shown in this world of magic and delight.
- Gintama: Now, I do not usually play the game of favorites, because I find it hard to chose most of the time. Then there is Gintama. If you were to ask the genuine question of what my favorite anime was, Gintama would be it. The show has a perfect blend of comedy, action, and happy with sad/serious. It is, like most things, not perfect of course, but that doesnt stop Gintoki from being my favorite shounen protagonist, along with Gintama having a very well written overarching story that made me Shead many tears over its almost 400 episode runtime.
Its not like you lose anything by watching a few episodes to see what you think, so go give these 5 a try
